Good meat. Accompanying fries that are too thin and with the skin on. Very poor service

A different Friday dinner, with delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, toasted to the taste of the true pearl, passion fruit poncha.

Presentation with refinement and care...
Friendly decor, attentive service.
Swordfish with banana was different and it was a complete match for me.

Nothing was bad, but everything was both beautiful and emotionless. The fish, served on mash (??) and with the passion fruit sauce which disappeared because it was absorbed by the crust, lacked everything: salt, pepper, crunchy, browned by frying. It was a little overcooked, the fries barely shone. The pea puree had the right texture and a nice color, but it was cold, while the banana, hot, mingled with everything else in a story that was impossible for the mouth to follow.
The meat was tender and the sauce strong, bordering on being too alcoholic for all palates. The toppings were timid and, once again, lacking in flavor. The limpets, which I had preferred the first time I went to the restaurant, arrived without salt, without generosity in herbs and butter - once again, no emotion. A waste of the ingredient and my 80 euros spent on such a disappointing meal.
The desserts were forgettable, but beautiful. Something tells me there are purchased items already prepared.
Friendly and fast service, although it should be noted that it is a bit rude to bring the bill without being asked. Even a pub knows that you have to tell the kitchen and restaurant to close first (if you're that bothered by the customer being there while you're closing).
The decoration of the establishment is typical of Madeira and more interesting than the sauces. Damage.
(For those looking for spicy, unpretentious cuisine in the region, I recommend Paco Bigotes and Dom Zé'Viche).

Honestly, this is the finest dining spot I've discovered in Carcavelos. I've been raving about it to everyone because it's just that fantastic. The waiters provide exceptional service and they are incredibly welcoming. I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit. I even drive all the way from Lisbon just to eat here!

Very expensive....and the food is shameful for the price charged...either they change or close doors because the food has nothing to do with Madeira....they should be ashamed to charge 60 euros for 2 kebabs which were even disgusting, not to mention the bloodletting that was practically gaseous... to DEATH!!!!?????I DO NOT ADVISE IT!!!!
