She took us to this restaurant and what à fins: choose your fresh fish caught that day (sea break, sea bass, turbot, red snapper etc) & they will grill for you. The meal is served with boiled potatoes and salad. Unpretentious but authentic & tasty. Nice house white. You cannot book so arrive early, especially in the summer.

The friendly service with a big smile, delicious reasonably priced wine served from a pre-frozen clay jug, and above all, the excellent food (fresh fish)… all made for a memorable dining experience. The owners clearly take pride in their establishment , and it’s reflected in the proud smile as you show appreciation of their delicious food. Worth a repeat visit!

The grilled sea bass was perfectly grilled. Love the charm of the restaurant. Other apps indicated that the place had vegetarian options but was incorrect. No fault to the restaurant. Service was good and attentive. Providing a little something to send us off. Cash Only. No debit or credit cards.

We spent a week in Portugal-- Porto, Lisbon, and points in between. The best meal we had was at this small restaurant on a side street about 3 blocks from the beach in Nazare. Super fresh charcoal grilled sardines, clams in butter and garlic sauce, (literally) ice cold carafes of vinho verde. No fancy recipes, just fresh from the sea seafood cooked the traditional way. Potatoes and other sides fresh and tasty as well. Plus friendly service from the owner and a young waiter who were patient with our friend's elementary Portuguese. A genuine experience in Portuguese cuisine and hospitality.

This restaurant has a wonderful owner and wait staff (his nephew). They are so kind and welcoming. The chef is great too. The fish is as fresh as possible as are the salad and potatoes. I love the vintage photos (of the owner’s grandfather). Try this place and don’t be disappointed. Very clean bathrooms too!

If I tell you about this place, please don’t make it so full I can’t get in again! Located a short distance from the beach up a side street, this restaurant is attractively decorated in Portuguese style and with family memorabilia. The welcome is warm and friendly. The fresh fish superb and simply presented. Chocolate mousse dark and rich. Good carafe wine at great value. Oh, and the couvert bread and cheese was tasty, the cheese deliciously salty.

While touring in Portugal we were lucky to find this little family restaurant. We loved the old photographs and the genuine portuguese atmosphere. the service was excellent and five of us shared the large fresh turbot fish which we had selected. The host cut the cooked fish into portions for us and it was delicious. This was the best experience which we had on the Portuguese coast

We were recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint! The owner, Vítor, was incredibly welcoming and treated us like royalty. The service was top tier! The same can be said for their food - the grilled sardines, clams, and fish of the day were as fresh as you can get (they caught it that day). Everything was delicious! They are usually busy so try to make a reservation.
