Family restaurant with good food. Friendly but disorganized staff. A little pricey but the area is for tourists.

We were recommended to this local restaurant, popular for its traditional cooking. The decor was very simple and the staff were amazing with us as we don’t speak any Portuguese. My wife and I shared a dish of Cataplana de Frango and it was exceptional. Washed down with a bottle of Terra Franca Rose wine (recommended by the host) we had a most enjoyable meal….and the cost was kept under €50 for the pair of us! That’s value for money. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
If the waiter doesn't say hello, it's probably ok.The waiter worked without please or thank you ????But food was good.

Not too busy when we dined here. Everything was initially good. We didn't have to wait too long to order or to eat. The food was pretty good. 2 had piri-piri chicken one had black pork and one had chicken in sauce. All meals had fries ( frozen). A few vegetables would have been nice. The waiter was not very attentive and she seemed to be upset about something going on in-house but overall i would return for the food.

Fantastic authentic Portuguese dishes. The fish soup, sea bream fish and peri-per chicken was absolutely fantastic. All at a very reasonable price. Thank you for a memorable dinner!

This place looked really lovely and so did the food but the waiter unfortunately ruined our experience. We went for dinner last night and the waiter was quite rude. We are foreign and learning Portuguese and were testing out our new skills. The waiter would not speak Portuguese and made rude comments such as "you're not butchering it as badly as other people". I'm not sure if he was joking but it just came off as a bit unkind and rude. During the experience the food was ok but the service was exceptionally slow for us, compared with other people even trying to pay took good chunk of an hour. I don't know if we did something to annoy the staff sorry if we did but I can't think of anything? it all was a bit of a strange experience and dampened our evening a little. Food was ok, but my friends kebab came out cooler than she would have hoped for.

Really great classic Portuguese eatery! Service wasn't the fastest but they were clearly super busy and running back and forth to all the tables.

budget friendly food but surroundings very hot nd stuffy. There are only 2 tables in the outside area so the majority of tables are inside which means with an open kitchen it was sweltering. I kept going outside during my meal to get some fresh cooler air. The service was slow but that may have been because they were busy and has new staff.
Good Portuguese food. Very good chicken piri piri and the ribs are highly recommended.
