“What a find!! We have been coming to Carvoeiro for over 14 years and this has to be our best find. Andre is a superb host, attentive to the needs of his guests interacting well with the whole family. All the staff team are friendly and efficient. The menu both at lunch and in the evening is limited, however it doesn't need to be anything more. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. My husband enjoyed the best steak he has ever had, and my 11 year old loved the seabass. You will not be disappointed, and we will definitely be paying future visits!!“

The place is very beautiful, it has a beautiful view, but unfortunately, in the summer, the heat is uncomfortable. The air conditioning does not work, which makes the stay a little uncomfortable.“

“Very attentive staff, fantastic food and nice location!

There were a group of 7 of us and we had a mixed selection of starters and mains, with 3 of us having excellent steaks. All the food was top quality and cooked expertly. This is definitely a case of quality over quantity, and I’d recommend booking in to this excellent restaurant.

“Would be 5 stars. Clearly marked vegan options across the menu, including pancakes, overnight oats, wrap, and burgers, as well as a selection of vegan milks for drinks. I got the vegan special for €14 which came with pancakes, small postion of overnight oats, small fruit salad, orange juice, and coffee/tea of choice. All of which was delicious“

“Very tasty Tapas restaurant with a great view over the busy beachfront area. The staff were very accommodating for a last minute booking, all of the dishes we tried were excellent, plenty in the portion sizes. Unfortunately we ate late and couldn't order a main dish as the kitchen was closing but we could still choose from any of the tapas and we were not rushed out when finishing our Sangria. Couldn't fault the staff on anything, great atmosphere would definitely recommend. Make sure to make a reservation for an evening meal.“

“We stopped in for a night cap because it looked so lovely & the cocktails were fabulous & good price...€8 each! Much better & cheaper than the Skybar on beach front. It's alot classier & refined than most of the other restaurants in the town. With beautiful interior & some very nice chilled live music. Fabio (the owner) is a great man & we had a great conversation. We wanted to come back for dinner on Sunday but they were closed on Sundays. The menu & food looked excellent though. We'll just save it for next time we come. Perfect for great cocktails & chilled vibes in a beautiful setting & I'm sure the food is great too. “I had breakfast there every day and ate there one lunchtime. Small typical snack bar, run by a family, simple and good food for a very affordable price given the tourist attraction of the area. If you want to have a family lunch, in a space with a good quality/price ratio, family service, and extremely well-served portions, this is the place to go.The space is large and well-illuminated and also has free Wi-Fi. There is plenty of parking underneath the restaurant and to the rear. If you want to book, there is that possibility.One of the best restaurants in this region.“

“Highly recommend this fabulous gem tucked off the main street of Carvoeiro. A tired family wandered in and took solace by the pool. “We stopped here on our way to Bengali beach from our airbnb. It was awesome! Some of the best bifana and coffee ever. They were very welcoming and spoke to us in English and explained the menu. It was definitely worth the drive! I recommend!“

“When I went it was quite full. The service seems a little chaotic, each time a different waiter served us. Some spoke Portuguese, others did not.

I wasn't very hungry and I only ate two mini angus burgers. They were perfect! Very good indeed.“

You can park opposite on the sidewalk or in the side street.The ambience is simple, with dark wood and orange colored curtains, a bit dated.But the appearance is clean and well maintained.The service was very attentive and quick. It should also be mentioned that the memory card is clean, tidy and well maintained.The menu is varied, pasta, pizza, various meat dishes and fish.Everything is prepared quickly and very well. Tasty and hot. “Good place to eat, the ideal is when you reserve to let them know the time and that you are going to order cataplana, so when you arrive to eat they have it ready, by the way the fish and seafood one is very delicious. It's expensive, but they have good quality food.“

“We were recommended to this local restaurant, popular for its traditional cooking. The decor was very simple and the staff were amazing with us as we don’t speak any Portuguese. My wife and I shared a dish of Cataplana de Frango and it was exceptional. Washed down with a bottle of Terra Franca Rose wine (recommended by the host) we had a most enjoyable meal….and the cost was kept under €50 for the pair of us! That’s value for money. “The restaurant is lovely and the Antonia is excellent. Been coming here since a couple of years. Being a vegetarian she adapted some of the typical Portuguese dishes and they were really tasty. This year we had the chance to experience Show Cooking - which was a very different experience. She was cooking just for us in front of our table. Very good price/quality/quantity ratio, especially given the amazing location and view. Very proactive and friendly service as well. A varied and abundant starter table where cheese reigns?, with plenty of pasta, cold salads, pizzas, savory snacks, etc. On the hot table the variety continues. We had at our disposal Portuguese stew, suckling pig, cod with cream, duck rice, oven-baked chicken, grilled dishes, etc. To conclude this meal, we enter the sweets and fruit table where the party of choices continues. All this accompanied with juices, wine and water. As it was a Sunday there was live music, discreet enough not to disturb the meal. Even with a full house, the service provided by Andreia was good. “We ate here as a family on a Saturday night and were surprised to find the restaurant had no other diners at the time we arrived, and only one or two came in during our time there. Having passed by on other evenings during our week, this seems to be consistent as we almost never saw more than a few people eating here, despite it having a prime spot in a touristy area.We found the service to be quick and polite, although the waitress was less attentive after our table had been cleared, so it took some time to get the bill.The menu is very extensive, which could be why the place is less popular as this often suggests lower quality. As two of us were vegetarians, we were appreciative that there were a number of options available for us as this is less common in Portugal.The food came quickly and was tasty, so we had no complaints there ourselves. The prices were also very reasonable for the portions.We would recommend this for the traveller on a budget who still wants to eat out and enjoy some Italian comfort food, and also as a great option for vegetarians looking a bit more choice!“

I understand that people make more reviews when they leave a site unhappy than when everything is good.

In my case I have to say that everything was fine. The food was served to us in about 30 minutes. The amount was more than correct. The treatment of the waiters was good.
We also had a great time with the karaoke next door.
In our case it has been a good experience.“

“Great view, not rude but not nice service. Fresh tasting chicken sandwich. Nothing crazy but is made with quality ingredients. Draft beer is cold with frosted mugs. Never could go wrong having those glasses extra frosted tho. Thank you and can’t wait till I pull up again with the fam.“

“Beautiful and relaxing ambiance to eat.
Food were good, could be improved tho.
The grill sole fish can be grilled slightly longer so we can get crispy skin, and the veggie that comes with it was totally bland. They brought olive oil, but the veggie needs seasoning.

Service wise also could be improved.
They are friendly, and you can see the differences between experienced waiter or who just shall working.
When the starter arrives they don’t bring new cutlery so we need to cut the shrimp with butter knife ?
I was asking for napkin, and he gave me wet tissue (normally for after eating). My meals got french fries, but they didn’t give any mayonnaise, need to ask until they bring it

I can see they are understaffed.
I just hope they put more attention to the food and train the staff abit.

“When we got there the employees didn't seem to be very happy with our presence, in fact when we arrived the kitchen was still closed but they gave us the option of staying and drinking something while we waited.
After lunch, they became more friendly.
The food is very good
And the service turned out to be good too.
We ordered the mixed fish which was wonderful and the shrimp curry which was also 5 stars“
