Wanted a nice coffee and a sandwich. The sausage sandwich was disgusting! Who deep fries a sausage? It tasted like a load of bread and fat! When we commented on it to the waitress she said “oh yes it’s the sausage sandwich that people have trouble with, and yes it’s deep fried“ Are you kidding? You know people complain about it but keep on serving it and when it’s clear only one bite has been taken from it you still charge for it! An absolute disgrace.
We order the english breakfast and it took almost 1 hour to be ready. To make things worst, we order 2 beers instead of tea, coffee or juice, and were charged extra!! I will never come back and will tell anyone to avoid this place. Tony's next door is much, much better!
Our visit to Harry's Bar in Carvoeiro left my family of six greatly disappointed and frustrated. Our initial encounter with the establishment was during breakfast, when we were informed that they had limited food supplies due to a busy previous day. While this setback was initially understandable, it was a sign of things to come. Undeterred, we decided to give Harry's Bar a second chance the following day. Unfortunately, this decision only compounded our dissatisfaction. Upon entering, we found no welcoming staff to assist us. Opting to find a shaded spot outside, we combined two adjacent tables to accommodate our family size—something we have often done in other restaurants without issue. However, our attempts to make ourselves comfortable were met with an extremely rude staff member. Her behavior was both confusing and contradictory. She scolded us for moving the tables, only to later contradict herself by saying we could have moved the adjacent tables. This interaction left us baffled, and her attempts to assert dominance further soured our mood. Regrettably, this incident set the tone for the rest of our visit. When our food finally arrived, the experience went from disappointing to disheartening. I won't delve into all the negative specifics, as I have no desire to come across as bitter. However, I must stress that the quality of the food and the overall dining experience did not meet even the most basic of expectations. It's with a heavy heart that I can say this will be our first and last time ever visiting Harry's Bar. The combination of unfriendly staff, contradictory treatment, and a subpar dining experience has left us with no desire to return. For those considering a visit, I urge you to exercise caution and manage your expectations accordingly. In the pursuit of fairness, I sincerely hope that Harry's Bar takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving both the service and quality of their offerings.
Was left way over an hour for my food No explanation given as to why Plenty of staff on hand to provide drinks to us though while we waited for our food Wont be returning again And i put this on their facebook page and i got blocked .. so thats why its going on here
Great Bar, great staff & service, the food was excellent & as one of our party is a picky eater, they made what she requested with no fuss as all freshly made, great experience.
Very friendly service, good to watch sports, but check they will be showing what you want to watch first. Bacon sandwich is a bit dire but toasties are really nice.
We came for lunch, ordered 3 toasties and a quiche and we were waiting more than an hour for the food to come out. We asked the waitress why it was taking so long and she said it was because the table that came in before us was a big order and they had to make their food first? They effectively ignored our order for a good half an hour and only started making it once the other table had their food. We ordered 5 mins after them, and if they cant handle more than 1 table at a time they shouldn't be serving food. They didn't even apologise.
We couldn’t fault this place, great service, great staff, great food & drinks, good value for money. Cater for all visitors, nothing to much trouble ?
Great little bar in carvoeiro. Friendly staff and good value. Popular with us Brits. Recently.
Great bar which serves English type food, great selection of beers and spirts at great prices compared to the town centre. Ideal place to watch sports and also play darts and a quiz on a Wednesday. Big mention to Sarah who always makes you feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble.

When you've had enough of the rich fabulous Portugese food, this is the place to come for a bit of English. Best Harry's salad, cracking sandwiches, quiche, english breakfast, veg lasanha. All served up with a smile and a chat from Sarah. Wednesday quiz with Aaron will have you in stitches and not to be.missed. One of our favourite bars and people in Caevoeiro.
