We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. Came in without booking and managed to get a table for two. The restaurant is pretty popular and gets packed every evening. Therefore, make sure you actually plan prior… We went with an octopus as one main and a cataplana as the second entree. One very nice thing about Jota Lita is that for cataplana you do not need to order a full portion (usually very generous for two people). They offer half of that as a single dish. Both entrees were beautifully presented. We liked cataplana more because it was very flavourful, full of juicy fish pieces (2 different kinds), and seafood. The octopus was a bit tough, yet also good. The dinner ended with complimentary drinks and Raffaello candy. Special thank you to the servers who explained each dish and consistently checked on us.

Small typical restaurant, the staff was welcoming and the service rather quick.
Everything was good overall, the small squid as a starter (even more of a main course) or the beautiful sardines, the only disappointment with the polpo which was on the menu (around twenty euros anyway), the quantity is there and the cooking too but it really lacked seasoning so a little bland with just garlic oil. A little salt, chili pepper or something else would really make the difference I think!

This restaurant is fantastic. Super friendly and professional staff. Ordered grilled Golden bream (fish of the day) and grilled checked with peri peri for mains. House white wine is a great match with seafoods. Don’t miss their dessert! Their cheese cake is perfect!!!
