We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. Came in without booking and managed to get a table for two. The restaurant is pretty popular and gets packed every evening. Therefore, make sure you actually plan prior… We went with an octopus as one main and a cataplana as the second entree. One very nice thing about Jota Lita is that for cataplana you do not need to order a full portion (usually very generous for two people). They offer half of that as a single dish.
