Another great meal at Pani. Great food and great service. Only a few of the restaurants are open over Xmas in Carvoeiro and fortunately our favourite Indian, Pani was open. Thanks Pani.

We only managed to eat here once as we found it late in our week stay. The food was fantastic, as was the service and view. So tasty, full of flavour and generous portions. Good value for money.

When going out for dinner, the experience starts when making the reservation, and ends when you leave the restaurant. Making the reservation was uneventful. We were told that we could have a table that would allow us the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean this restaurant offers, but we had to be finished by 8 o’clock for the next reservation. No issue there other than we arrived 15 minutes after the stated 6 o’clock advertised opening, but they weren’t quite set up. We were offered our seats, and provided with menus while they spent the next 15 minutes setting up the remaining tables around us. Wine list had single digit dollar wines offered at 2-3 times mark-up. We ordered lamb dishes which we enjoyed and were very satisfied with. Cognizant of the time, we finished without feeling rushed. We were provided with our check, and paid via credit card. As some very few restaurants do in Europe, we were asked about paying in euros or dollars. We paid in euros, as most credit cards offer the daily exchange rate without additional charges. We replied as such, and the next question was do we accept their exchange rate for processing the credit card payment. The answer always is no as this represents some arbitrarily inflated rate made up by the proprietor to make a few extra bucks! When the receipt came it had the price we agreed to in euros, with an inflated dollar price on the bottom. I asked the waiter about this as I agreed to the euro price, and he reassured me that’s what he did. The next morning my credit card statement reflected differently. This type of deception is unacceptable, and unfortunately I hope this person realizes this leads to a very disturbing and disappointing experience, and hence will be addressed in the restaurants review.

What an absolute dining experience with Surjit and his team tonight, the food and service was exceptional as always and a credit to Surjit, we’ve tasted the delicious food since Pani opened and we’ve never left hungry ? The views over the bay are wonderful, if you’re new to Carvoeiro this restaurant is a must to visit, and the best Indian in the village, you will not be disappointed that’s for sure..! Thanks again for tonight’s Please book and try for yourselves ??

We are frequent visitors to Pani and try to visit weekly when possible. I have enjoyed Indian Cuisine in many countries for more than 50 years. For me Pani stands out as one of the most exception Indian restaurant's I have ever eaten in and does so time after time. The quality and flavour of the food is only beaten by the fabulous service from the team at Pani. It has a superb ambiance, marvellous view and is always spotless. The management team should be extremely proud of what they have established at Pani. We look forward to our next visit!

One of best Indian meals I've had (and I've had plenty!!) on their fabulous upper terrace with sensational views of Carvoiera beach and sea. Pilau rice and garlic naan superb; all dishes beautifully presented on ceramic warmers and a wonderful variety of tastes. It makes me hungry again just thinking of it!!

Having eaten at many Indian restaurants in the UK and abroad, this Indian restaurant was by far the best for so many reasons. The courtesy of the staff, even though we hadn't reserved a table, they accommodated us and provided us a table exactly where we wanted to be. The food was exquisite. The wine was of excellent quality and not expensive. The restaurant soon filled up and that was of no surprise it was a great place to be. The highlight of our holiday! Thank you to Surjit and his waiting team and kitchen staff - keep doing what you do so very well. We would highly recommend you!

The top terrace with the sun going down was special. Good choice of vegetarian curries; which were very tasty and presented well. Good service despite being very busy.

Food was excellent. We had the chicken korma and tandoori chicken with butter naan and plain rice. Great location with some tables overlooking the beach.

Our lunch experience was top-notch! Incredible service, amazing oceanside/beach views and delicious food! The Pani Starter Special is a great choice which provides a sample size variety of popular dishes.
