As soon as we arrived, all the tables were dirty, when there were literally 3 families. The menu of the day is a scam, for that price, you only eat one dish, choosing between three. The food without anything to highlight, the meat without flavor and the fish very well done. The drinks were made hot and without ice. When it came to paying you could only pay in cash, we who are tourists no one warned us, but that's the least, what bothered us was the little help that the workers offered us to pay, since we didn't have cash. They didn't offer us any alternative, bizum type, telling us where there was a bank, nothing. Luckily we found a place to get money and we were able to pay

We were very desperate in Carvoeiro as we could not find any good restaurant, only restaurant with big menu, made for the (English) tourists (which only like toasts and burgers lol). We were desperately looking for a GOOD and LOCAL restaurant … and we found this restaurant in google maps !! And wow !! Thank you !!! Thank you for existing, it is so rare to find those typical restaurants. We only paid 24 euro for 2 daurades + drink !! And the food was so simple and good (olive oil, lemon, salt… so good!!!) Also thank you to the waitress. We are French so could only speak in English … however when she was taking our order she only spoke Portuguese with us … it was funny as we had to try to understand, it is so rare to meet Portuguese people which try to learn to you their langage! Thank you ! I learned some words thank to her. Highly recommend if you like local food and vibe. ( and also please don’t go to carveiro restaurants next to the beach … they are just “attrappe tourists”) By the way as we really enjoyed our first time here, we came back !

Every time we passed this place, it was always busy. So we tried today. We walked in around 13:00, most of tables were full. We waited for a while to be severed. There was no menu to choose from. It looks like either fish or meat. When we sat down, only fish was available.Fish was simple grilled sea bream with boiled potatoes. It was so delicious!- some sliced bread and olives- soup- grilled fish (sea bream today)with boiled potatoes and salad- a small bottle of sparkling water- a cup of cappuccinoIt was only €24.00 for two (€12.00 per head)Food was so delicious and yet very modest price. No wonder it is very popular for local people. Highly recommended!
