“We just spent a couple of days in Cascais and went twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Food is great, cool laidback atmosphere. Service is super friendly. Just a bit slow at the end when we wanted to pay and leave (both times we had to ask for the check multiple times). But a cool place to eat and have a drink nonetheless.“

Had dinner for 2. We were welcomed with some slices of bread accompanied by persil and garlic butter. We shared and enjoyed all we ordered: stuffed shrimps with tomato snd garlic base, grilled squid (served with white rice) and polpo a la gallega. All was amazing, but we “had to” take a second time the shrimps, so to enjoy more shrimp and use the tomato and garlic soup as a top for the rice we got with the squid. The rice topped with the tasty soup turned into an unexpected and delicious course.
We finally took a lemon mousse topped with crumbled biscuits: a fresh and delicious way to end the dinner. Highly recommended to go, and suggested to book a table says in advance.“

The moules are really Good especially the Gratinados as a starter.
As for the main dishes, it would be great if we can have a refill of moules because even if they are big moules it is not enough for someone with a great appetite.

“Wow!! We stopped into this place after a long drive to Cascais. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The Beautiful ambiance and views makes for a beautiful dinning experience. A little on the pricier side but the food and service is on the higher end on the scale. I had the bacalao with potatoes and my husband had the fried filet of sole. Both portions were very good size and the filet of sole came with tomato rice and salad. We also had the vegetable soup which was delicious. Be ware they set your table with a bunch of apps that you didn’t order and even if you just taste it you’ll be charged. Once we got to our table the table was set with olives, bread cheese and some minced rabbit dish, We asked what it was and sent it back because no one in our party ate rabbit. The cheese alone was 23euros so make sure you want it before you start your meal. The view is beautiful and its a wonderful way to have lunch or dinner.“

“While visiting Cascais, I came to have lunch at the Vela Azul Restaurant, a small, family-run space where traditional Portuguese food, especially fish, is the house specialty. The starter came with Bread, Toast, Butter and a Fresh Cheese. The main course consisted of tasty Grouper Fillets accompanied by naughty Tomato Rice and perfectly well prepared, full of aroma and flavor. I also ordered a Mixed Salad which was generous and well seasoned. I accompanied the meal with House White Wine and finished with a homemade Queijada. Meal around €26 per person. I recommend!“

After that, I couldn't eat sushi in other restaurants for a long time.The service was excellent. We arrived for dinner quite late, around 10pm, and there was no one there. We politely asked if we could order anything else, and the waitress and the boss had no hesitation in preparing everything and making room for us. The service was first class, we never felt unwanted or pressured. On the contrary, the waitress was very attentive. We ended up paying around €85 for a large platter of sushi, white wine, a bottle of sake and a coffee. As we found the service great and it was our last evening in Portugal, we gave just over €100. The pasta is served… differently. You won’t get the plate with the pasta directly. The waiter will come with a different portable table on which they have the pans in which the pasta was cooked. The service provided by the Brazilian girl and the Brazilian boy was wonderful, I felt at home.
I recommend it and every time I return to Lisbon I will go to Cascais to eat octopus again.☺️???

“I went to the pizzeria yesterday on the recommendation of a couple of friends. We ordered takeaway. When we arrived we were treated very well, the team was friendly and they showed us the menu and how the house works. Both pizzas were great, with a good amount of toppings. I will definitely be back to eat there. I recommend!“

Staff is friendly, but if was sometimes hard to communicate with the young waiter. We wanted the sauce on the side for our kids steak. Instead, it was drowned in sauce.

The shrimp skewer was not that special. And the veal slices were a bit chewy.

But other than that. Everything was really good!

“We wandered by and Edourdo (the owner) was setting up outside. We asked was he serving breakfast and indeed he was. We both had cheese omelette with bacon, toast and side salad. Simple but top notch! The coffee was the best we’ve had in Portugal and all the coffee’s been A1! Edourdo was really friendly, he’s a great football fan (he’s been to Liverpool, so that’s a big plus) and he passed on so much information on both the local area and Portugal itself! Without doubt this was one of the best places we ate during our trip! Local food, local people, really welcoming. If you’re in the area give this place a shot!“

“We got the all you can eat menu and it was great! The fish was really fresh and absolutely delicious, they also didn’t go overboard with the rice.

The all you can eat menu was 22,90€ per person excluding drinks and desserts, which I think is a more than fair price. However, keep in mind that they charge 0,50€ for every sushi piece you ordered but didn’t eat.

Wheelchair accessibility: For my untrained eye the restaurant seems rather accessible, since there are no stairs. However, I guess if you have a bigger wheelchair it might be a bit tight since the restaurant itself is quite small.“
