3 weeks with the air conditioning broken, a disappointment

In your store in Cascais, for more than three weeks now, inside your store, the air conditioning has stopped working, without you having any consideration for your employees who are inside the store enduring high temperatures due to the ovens. It is almost unacceptable on your part, since thanks to them, your daily and increasingly greater financial benefit: at the cost of their sacrifice, of having to work in these conditions. Please don't go around the problem of paying a technician to resolve this inhumane situation with your employees as quickly as possible without something as basic as air conditioning. You can ask for a technician with your bank's insurance!
Bad experience!!! I think it's absurd in the middle of summer, for an establishment at this time, located in a great area, not to have working air conditioning, I always go with my family and for some time now we haven't been able to stay there because it's so hot.

I was standing in the heat in line two weeks ago to buy a loaf of bread, I go back this week and it's still in the same situation. I turned around and didn't even go in. How do employees cope with these conditions?

I can't even evaluate the cuisine because they didn't give me the opportunity to try and eat the brunch that I was supposed to... when I arrive at the cafe, I placed my order at the counter and when I'm about to pay in cash they tell me that they only accept the card to pay. After walking 20 minutes on purpose to go there to eat. seriously?? What country is this?? And because we are in Cascais? Not everyone needs to have a credit card on hand!!

It’s great food and coffee and friendly staff but the meal was ruined by the amount of screaming crying children, running around and screaming. they should really make a family seating section rather than having kids just run around. there was a lot of adults trying to enjoy a nice quiet breakfast, but the atmosphere was ruined by the kids.

There's a lot to love about Gleba. Yes it's a little pricey but the baked goods are to die for. And the coffee is great too, possibly the best latte in Cascais. It has the makings of a five star place. But...
Perhaps a victim of their own success, service - whilst always pleasant and friendly - is, well, terrible.
Take this morning... A Monday morning at 10:30, so not exactly rush hour. The place was heaving so it was a wait of 10 minutes to actually order 3 coffees to go.
Then 25 minutes (yes, twenty-five) for them to appear. Could you imagine that at Costa at Waterloo Station (and yes, I know it's not quite comparing apples)?
Maybe they need to decide just what it is they want to be - niche fab bakery shop or thriving community hub with great service.

At Gleba it's worth going just to drink coffee. But not only. It's rare that I leave the house just to drink coffee, because my coffee at home is great and on the street I get tired of burnt and poorly handled coffee. Here, in addition to the coffee machine being incredible, it is clean and well handled every time. It's nice to see how a person is just working at the machine and the coffee demonstrates this care and dedication. I love the flavor. But, the cake with guava topping, the scrambled eggs, the foccacia with rosemary, the matcha latte, the cheese bread, the carob buns, an endless array of delicacies that win over the Portuguese and expatriates we see there, always in the hope of a place to sit, which is worth the wait.

The products are reasonable, but the service is one of the worst I've ever seen.
I ordered some scrambled eggs and yogurt at this establishment that I've known for a long time. After waiting 20 minutes, the employee said that the things would come. Another 15 minutes passed and nothing arrived. I asked her to cancel everything and give me my money back (since the place works on prepayment) to which she refused. The balance was 13 euros less in my account and I'm still hungry.

The service is very very slow.
It took us 10 minutes to get to the cash register and another 40 minutes waiting to be served.
The toast arrived cold.

The sourdough bread is delicious, even when it’s cut in the bakery it’s delicious to eat after 4 days

There was no experience.
Commercial establishments with illegal practices such as not accepting cash should not even be allowed nor should people frequent them. But anyway... that's what we're unfortunately having...
Good bread but terrible bar service. Simple atmosphere.

It was the first time I entered a café in Gleba. The coffee, which only costs €1.5, is simply horrible. Speculating, perhaps because regular customers are not used to drinking decent coffee... Menu prices to match the coffee. Not to be repeated and not recommended.
Very positive note for the bread. Great! That was the only good thing about this experience!
