Fresh boiled lobster... with a taste of mud. Very disappointed for a 1,4 kg. We had our main plate that came in 3 times : First the tale, then the veggies, then the head. If you got lucky, you'll be able to have a table with the view.

We went into a nearly empty restaurant around 16:00.
For a near infinity we got ignored by the staff. Then a Portuguese couple came in and got seated before us.
We then approached the staff and said we were still waiting for a table and then they yelled at us and just pointed to a random table in the center.
We left 3min afterwards, because we found the staff behavior very unfriendly and rude.
The waiting time did not make sense to us. There were 4-5 staff members running around for maybe 10 people. It is unclear to me why nobody approached us directly when we came in.
Here are some tips to get better reviews:
1. Try to have a designated waiting area for your future guests.
2. If a new guest arrives, tell them "Give me a few minutes" if you are busy or directly point them to a table.
We couldn't taste the food, because the staff was too unfriendly.

Really nice place out in cascais. Service was great, prawns and fish too. The only thing (which was probably on us) was that the octopus just tasted of olive oil which took over a bit, but it also said on the menu “cooked in olive oil” so. Lovely view and great location

Fantastic experience at this lovely place by the sea. They pride themselves in fresh fish and seafood, rightly so. It’s not fine dining, but at the same level if you love seafood.
The atmosphere is market-like, but not loud. It’s nice! Staff is polite and extremely efficient. They also joke, and keep things easy-going. 5* service.
Fresh fish is served and prepared at the table. We had smaller variants such as shrimp, scallops and clams for starters, with amazing toast and iberico. Followed by fantastic curry, fish soup and the most amazing emperor fish. Food is not elegant, but still impressive and delicious.
Sea views are plenty, and the locale is traditional and modern at the same time. Clean, nice and fresh!

The food was absolutely sublime. I would recommend everything. It was amazing 2p years ago and it still is now. I would go there again definitely and I loved it. The server knew what he was talking abt and gave us some amazing tips and advice. I recommend the barnacles and oysters aswell as the sea bass in salt crust. I loved this place!

We ate Travessa Especial, with sea bream, lobster, prawns and vegetables, all in a special sauce. A delight. We also ordered grilled carabineros which come with a delicious sauce to drizzle over. I've been coming here for many years, even Christmas lunches were held here at other times. Everything very good! The wine of excellence!

The place where the Mar do Inferno rests is beautiful. The cuisine is Portuguese, with an emphasis on seafood and fish. This means it's very easy to get it right no matter what you choose. We ordered the sea bass in salt for two people. Simple and perfect. A good green wine completes the equation where the result is happiness in its purest state. Nothing to do with Hell, by the way.

Mr. Luís was so loving, so helpful and so professional that he made the experience even better.
