The fish cataplana is impressive as is the rice with seafood. We had a white wine that the waiter recommended and it was spectacular. Super recommended. It's a pleasure to dine in a place like this because of its good product and good price.

Holy Week in Cascais….
Spectacular.!!! and to celebrate we went to O PESCADOR.
The attention and recommendation of their dishes and wines were excellent….by all their staff.
Special mention to GONZALO.
Thank you for being so close and nice.
We left very happy!!
My recommendation is to everyone who goes to Cascais….Go through O PESCADOR. Authentic Portuguese Cuisine.

The overcooked seafood was a significant disappointment.

For a restaurant specializing in fish dishes, this level of overcooking is particularly unfortunate. The texture and flavor of the fish were compromised, suggesting a lack of attention to proper cooking times.

We even speculated whether the dishes had been pre-cooked and reheated, which would explain the subpar quality.

The food was poorly prepared, overcooked on the outside, undercooked on the inside and drowned in oil. Terrace looked just like any other tourist restaurant. Not a big fan of the tv on the terrace but to each his own I guess. Wine menu was way too large. All by all too expensive for the overall quality of our experience.

Perfect location, quiet street
Prices up sharply, including on wines
Generous paella but too salty

Apart from the fact that I got crisps with my milanese steak instead of french fries, what was supposed to come with my food as said on the menu, it was good.

Since I can’t reply to your answer on my review I attached here a photo where it states “french fries” on the menu.
Kind regards

My favorite fish restaurant on the Cascais beach. And I don't even eat fish, which says something.

Omigosh, as we say in America - every dish was fresh and delicious and presented with style. A few little requests and adjustments were made with no issues. The large carafe of white sangria was refreshing and tasty. For a dolce the “drunken pear” was outstanding but everyone was happy with theirs as well.

A place a little quieter than the restaurants in the central square, with very good quality and service. We loved the recommended Douro wine, clams and cod. Highly recommended.

A gem of a restaurant in the heart of Cascais. Let’s start with the staff! All amazing, playful with my toddlers, very attentive, very polite, overall all a wonderful team ensuring we had a great experience! As far as the food….just wow! Super tasty, super fresh, everything we had was top notch! Their grilled octopus was a party in my mouth, bursting with flavor. The Bacalhau A Bras also full of cod, nicely mixed with eggs and string fries. Great experience, will most certainly go back next time in Cascais. Thank you!

Parking: Easy parking down the street, just not immediately adjacent to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is near a walking only area.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, the staff was all wonderful with my 2 toddlers. Brought crayons and paper, showed them live lobsters, a wonderful team!

Very good typical Portuguese restaurant.
I have been two times and not disappointed at all.
Ambience is good and food is very good too. Very good grilled cod (bacalao) and bacalao a bras
I warmly suggest this restaurant.
