Friendly stuff but very busy on a Sunday evening. I wanted to order grilled cod fish but it was not possible because it needed obviously 1 hour to be prepared. Therefore I took Piri Piri chicken. Unfortunately I had to wait 45 minutes for that one too :( Not nice in a veeeeeery loud atmosphere!! The food was good but I'm not sure if it's really worth the wait so long.

Spectacular grilled chicken (franguinho), spicy or not spicy. They don't make reservations but we had dinner, no problem, 19 people. Very affordable price (+-€13/person with appetizer and drink, but without dessert). Highly recommended

We were told that the food here should be good, but never got to try it ourselves due to INCREDIBLY rude service - we have never experienced anything like it… when we arrived, the restaurant was full and we were written on a reservation-list and told that waiting time would be AT LEAST an hour. For good measure we asked a waiter if we could go wait on a nearby bar and come back an hour later, and he said that it was perfectly fine. When we came back LESS than an hour later, we were met by the boss who from the get go was quite rude and said that we were deleted from the reservation-list since a table had become available earlier than expected and they had called our name and we weren’t there. We told him that the waiter had told us that we could leave and come back, and the waiter even admitted this himself. But the boss just didn’t care, got louder and more rude and told us that we had lost our table and that’s that. So we headed for the one in Sintra instead which was a way better experience! The service in Sintra was really good and the atmosphere was way better and less chaotic too! Our local friend told us that the Sintra one is cheaper too ??

Niet zo goede service. Toen ik de rekening checkte zag ik dat ze kosten in rekening hadden gebracht van gerechten die ik niet bestelt had. Ze brengen side dishes zoals broden, olijven, salami of salade op je tafel zonder dat je het bestelt hebt. Daarbij zeggen ze niet dat deze wel extra geld kosten. We hebben deze gerechten aan de ober alsnog geweigerd en hij had ze terug meegenomen. Toen we de rekening ontvingen stonden al deze gerechten toch nog op de bon. We werden geserveerd door een oude man en hij heeft de eten die we hebben bestelt genoteerd. Toen we bij de balie stonden om te vragen hoe ze aan deze rekening kwamen zat ie nog naar ons te grijnzen vanaf een afstand. Hij weet dondersgoed wat ie aan het doen is, ze proberen je op te lichten. De jonge meneer aan de balie heeft het uiteindelijk wel na een paar minuten gecorrigeerd. Verder krijg je wel veel patat voor een kleine portie en de kip is oké.
The best restaurant! Recommended by our Uber driver. It is a casual spot, best to get there early as soon as it opens as it gets busy. They give you a platter straight away (with delicious bread, olives and cheese, that you do pay for). We ordered the Portuguese chicken (half spicy and half Regular), a medium fries and small salad (tomatoes). This was a good serve for two adults and one kid. This, plus two drinks was 25 euro. Amazing stuff! Service initially was fast but food took a while. Super fast though.

The chickens are really good but nowadays it takes a LONG time... We ordered 1 and a half chickens for home and they told us to pick them up at a certain time (45 minutes after we called). We got there on time and spent 35 minutes (!!!!!!!!!) waiting for the chickens... Nobody apologized or gave us explanations, only when we started to complain. If this is recurring then tell us to leave the house later and we don't have to wait in line for more than half an hour.....
