The view is beautiful, atmosphere is pleasant. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Where the restaurant is lacking is food. There is a lack of quality control which is surprising at a restaurant that charges high prices.
Our cheese starter was rotten, we sent it back and the chef contested the cheese was ‘not expired’. We are experienced cheese eaters and know the difference, we were still charged for it. The next day we had breakfast at the hotel buffet and tried the same cheese, this time it looked right and tasted good.
We were served a lemon butter that tasted fishy, how is that possible when there is no fish in the butter? Likely due to how it’s poorly stored.
We also ordered food from the sushi menu, the shrimp tempura was good, the California roll was alright, the tuna sushi was not good, tasted old, very disappointing. Overall below average sushi. The duck was dish was good.
We ordered dessert while sitting at the hotel bar, and it came from the same restaurant. The banana split wasn’t great, ice cream tasted old and grainy.
Because we were guests at the hotel we ate at the breakfast buffet several days, we were underwhelmed by the hot food options, they also served brown pineapple pieces for two days in a row. Papaya, yogurt, cereals and other cheeses were good, coffee was not.
Such a beautiful setting and the staff is very nice, but the lack of quality control at the restaurant kitchen is a real problem.
Absolute disaster, wow... Where to start? The restaurant was ice cold, we had to ask constantly for attention because no one was coming to the table, several waiters were always coming and going but they all seemed to forget our orders.
The food took AGES to come to the table (almost 30 minutes just for bread and butter -starters), the Entrecote was super hard and had a big chunk of fat... The sushi is good, good quality fish, although they only have tradicional, no fusion.
The portions are RIDICULOUSLY small! We thought it was joke, how little it was! The fish was tiny, the steak for two people is clearly just for one, the vegetarian dish that has broccoli in the title had 1 tiny broccoli... We were having such a disappointing experience that we skipped dessert. And... It's unbelievably expensive. We'll never be back.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian option tastes nice, but the broccolini dish literally comes with one tiny broccoli.

The staff is kind, but, in general, they do not have the skills to provide adequate service to the location. There are gaps in waiting for service, due to, for example, lack of drink in the glass, etc. The space is pleasant, the view is splendid! The dishes are well prepared. The fish soup was excellent! Next we tried the prawn rice... which was good. The wine chosen was Post Scriptum, 2021, red Douro, of course!

Hidden treasure as from the street it is not clear there is a high end restaurant with perfect sea view.

I have already left a review for the hotel without knowing that I could also review the restaurant individually. Therefore, here is my rating for the restaurant. The sushi was the best I've ever eaten. My wife had sushi for the first time and was also fascinated. After that, I couldn't eat sushi in other restaurants for a long time. The service was excellent. We arrived for dinner quite late, around 10pm, and there was no one there. We politely asked if we could order anything else, and the waitress and the boss had no hesitation in preparing everything and making room for us. The service was first class, we never felt unwanted or pressured. On the contrary, the waitress was very attentive. We ended up paying around €85 for a large platter of sushi, white wine, a bottle of sake and a coffee. As we found the service great and it was our last evening in Portugal, we gave just over €100. I wish the hotel had been as attentive as well. Many thanks to the team and see you soon.

Classy and very good.
Beautiful setting. Food was well prepared and presented..Reasonable priced wine. A proper treat.
My husband and I shared an appetizer (the slippers) and the lobster lasagna.
The food is very good but not worth the money.

Restaurant inserted in the Hotel Estalagem do Farol in Cascais.Excellent place to enjoy a meal with the sea as a backdrop. The menu is varied, and the presentation of the dishes is highly sophisticated and the attempt is pleasant in the combination of unthinkable flavors. In addition to this Restaurant, there is an option for Sushi.Prices way above normal.

In a gorgeous seaside hotel in Cascais, The Mix is a lovely find for a lovely and leisurely lunch. Food was very good and we even had the option to order off of the sushi menu as well as the The Mix's menu. Service was polite and attentive but not overbearing. A real treat, but at a price.
Came to reservation at 8pm, ended up getting the main at 1130pm. Horribly slow service. Over priced for tiny servings. Glad they had good bread to compensate a little.
nice views, food was ok (slightly over salted)personal friendly / some incompetent, dishes are way way over priced ; 35! euro per glass of champagne. last time for us. not recommended
