We went to eat, I ordered a beef entrecote which was very delicious, a large portion and a normal price. However, my partner's dish was a Porco alentejado loin that really does not justify either the price or the quality. There were 3 tenderloins, super dry and for both dishes, a plate of potatoes without grace or pretty plating, no care is seen in the dishes, the food was too normal for such an expensive restaurant... The accompaniment was too simple.It is a nice place but the relationship between quality and price does not justify it. The wine is good, normal for a Ribera. Not to go back, it's too expensive. The waiter service is good. But we won't be back. It needs to improve a lot because the price is unjustifiable. The invoice was not delivered.

Once again, we had an excellent meal and service at Visconde da Luz. We often bring visitors there, and to a person they are delighted by both the quality of the food, and the outstanding hospitality that the staff consistently brings to its guests. Their cataplana is magnificent, truly world class. I guarantee that you’ll want to return after having dined there once.

We had fresh cheese from the farm served with the bread then phenomenal sea bass. The place is very upscale and highly regarded by many seafood lovers. The staff are prompt and the food is very good. It is in the nice square close to the shopping by the seaside area. Fresh fish is pricey but worth the extra for a large meal.

We arrived at the door and were greeted by a young man washing the floor. He informed us that the restaurant would not be open for another 1/2 hour. We only had an hour to join our tour bus which was just around the corner. The manager came to greet us and asked if he could help us. We told him out predicament and he said he had an idea. He couldn't seat us in the dinning room where people would see us, but said follow me. We were escorted to a beautiful very private garden patio in the back of the restaurant where he sat us. He said I'll get a menu and go over each item with you and tell you how they are made. It was the best, most romantic dinners that we've ever shared. The best memory of our 14 day tour.
