The best gazpacho I've ever had in my life and I have an Alentejo rib! Next we ordered Stewed Oxtail and it was absolutely delicious. The fries were very well fried, sliced. Only great things to say about A Confraria. From the friendliness of those who served us, with availability and attention. Quiet restaurant, with typical decor and Alentejo background music. It was a great experience that we will definitely repeat.

Very nice atmosphere and excellent service. Pork cheek is very tasty. The fish of the day, the cação, was impeccable. The regional wines are also excellent.

It was an unforgettable lunch... I only have words of thanks to Mr. Ramalho and Margarida (I hope I didn't get the name wrong). They were super friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was delicious... it took me back to my childhood, to my grandmother's house!!
Among those in attendance, we tasted different types of olive oil from the region, which was the best. Then we ordered gazpacho (Alentejo style), migas with spare ribs and sericaia for dessert. Each dish explained so you can enjoy it very calmly, at your own Alentejo rhythm. I loved!!! I hope we can go back...
Choose for a special dinner. We arrived early, without a reservation, but there were tables available.
To start, Alentejo bread and some olives, with the right acidity. They asked if we wanted to do an olive oil tasting from the region, and since we're not crazy, we said yes ?
They presented us with 4 wines. The chosen one was the one in the photo: Monte da Colónia.
We opted for a snack tasting, because we were very curious about the most typical dishes from that region. The choices fell on Hare with White Beans (very well prepared, tasty and juicy), Cabrito Cachafrito (slightly salty for our taste), Pezinhos de Corentrada (won the cup! it was great!) and Partridge de Escabeche (more mature meat, For some, it may be a little tough, but given the fact that it is game meat, it is normal).
For dessert, the traditional Tecolameco. I had already tried it before and was afraid it would be too sickening to finish the meal. I was wrong, the icing with a hint of lemon helped to harmonize the flavor of this tart/cake made with almonds, eggs and sugar.
Courtesy of the house, they offered a Ginja de Marvão. We liked it so much that the next day we bought a bottle. I dare say that I found it tastier than the one in Óbidos.
Dinner cost around €60, but it was totally worth it!!!

Tasty food, but portions are small. Interesting and regional starters and desserts. Prices a little above average. The service was friendly, but a little lacking. We waited a long time for the wine we had ordered. The waitress was inexperienced and seemed out of place. Friendliness of the owner.

Terrible service, no class, and a lot of delay. We followed the recommendations and left hungry. At least there were still more restaurants open.
I do not recommend. There is no food that can overcome the negative points.
