No connection with the food truck in Belem, both in terms of the service (deplorable, 1 hour to be served) and the food (despicable, do not take the Gyros and Bifteki dishes). Expensive for the quality of the dishes, no smoking allowed on the terrace (unheard of) and they don't take credit cards (for a restaurant of this size, it's incredible...). I therefore advise you to avoid the restaurant in Charneca but prefer the food truck! In short, move on!

How to ruin quality cuisine with service worthy of a highway gas station.
The fault lies with one waitress in particular (young, large glasses, unpleasant as soon as we arrive, she will recognize herself).
Refuses to take our order (but doesn't send anyone else to take it).
3 passes near our table, ignoring us while I clearly wave my hand to recommend a drink at each of his passes.
The moment of the bill: I ask him to bring the bill with the machine (meaning payment by credit card).
She says yes and leaves.
But the bill doesn't come and I have to leave my table on the terrace and enter the restaurant to ask for it again. To which she replied very unpleasantly that “I can go to the checkout myself”. Which I obviously refuse.
Finally the bill still arrives but without the machine (via another waitress). I specify again that I wish to pay by credit card.
She tells me that this is not possible and that the establishment only accepts cash and that there is an ATM 200 meters away on foot.
I have been to a lot of restaurants in my life but this is the first time that a restaurant has refused me payment by card. Even in Portugal where the law apparently does not require it.
Any neighborhood pastelaria accepts it, even for small amounts.
I found it frankly pathetic for a restaurant that claims to be high level and located in a very touristy area.
After my companion went to get the money from the ATM, unhappy with this unpleasant surprise announced without a word of apology, she asked for an invoice (which is offered "instinctively" in any business in Portugal for any type of money). purchase but not in this restaurant which only accepts cash...).
The unpleasant waitress comes back and (literally) throws a machine on the table, telling us in an even more unpleasant manner: "Just put in the tax number" as if my companion was supposed to know how this machine works.
Obviously very irritated at having to do her job and having to at least pretend to be educated, this waitress would not even have her place at the cash register of a Mac Donalds (where I must say that I have never been treated also bad).
In short, the dining experience was completely ruined by very poor service and the rudeness of this particular waitress.
As for payment options, we all know that restaurant owners don't like to pay taxes but to the point of only accepting cash (in the main restaurant as well as at the food truck located in Belém), it's a shame. never seen.

A great experience at this fantastic food truck just minutes from Belem Tower. Food honest and authentic and lovely service by staff who were run off their feet! It is busy but worth the short wait!

Fantastic ✨? The service is friendly, they serve quickly, ideal for those who are hungry! the drinks are fresh, the divine desserts, I won’t even mention them! You have to try it to get a sense of the experience I had!

CAREFUL!! DOES NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT BY CARD. It's amazing that nowadays you can't pay by card, the funniest thing is that there is a handwritten sign telling you where there are ATMs. Joke. The owner started yelling at the waiters in the middle of the restaurant, a bad time for the waiters and a bad time for the customers who were there. The service from the waiters was very good and the food was delicious, but because of the above, we will not return.

The waiters are very kind and friendly but my low score is for two reasons: first we heard the boss/owner of the place scolding the waiters, I didn't understand why but he spoke quite badly to them in front of the customers and I thought it was a pretty gesture. ugly. Second reason: you cannot pay by card. There is an ATM nearby but the closest one was closed, the second one had no money and the third one was a considerable walk that we had to wait for about 15 minutes. to the waiters to be able to pay ??♀️

The food is great and the service is very attentive. But hearing the chef shouting at the staff, for whatever reason, ruined our appetite. It's a shame that a place with such good food is run by someone who doesn't respect employees and customers.
