This place, which you find wandering through the alleys of Chaves, is simply spectacular. Run by Hispanic-Portuguese, it offers the best of Iberian food. I have a special talent for picking out defects, but this gastronomic corner has conquered me, I have no fault, the place, the attention, THE MUSIC... Everything has stimulated me and opened my senses. It will probably take me a while to return because of how far I am from my home, but I will always do my best to come back and enjoy this ADEGA DA LUZ. Thanks guys.

The fruit salad and cod croquettes, spectacular. The wine they recommended to us and the cherry liqueur were wonderful. And the cheesecake tasted delicious. And the workers, great. The dishes are for sharing and are very well priced. A complete success.

On our recent trip back home, we stopped in Chaves and decided to eat at "Adega da Luz" due to its high score on Google. The experience was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the treatment was excellent, making us feel very comfortable and welcome. Also, the service was super fast, which we really appreciated.
The food was exquisite. We started with an appetizer of hemp seed butter and bread, which was delicious. Next, we enjoyed some potatoes with brava sauce and bacon, followed by a baked rib that was cooked to perfection. Each dish was packed with flavor and presented impeccably.
Another big surprise was the price: very affordable, only €26.35 for two people, sharing dishes. We were looking forward to exploring more of Chaves, but without a doubt, on our next visit to Portugal, we will return to "Adega da Luz". Highly recommended for anyone passing through this charming city.
