We were 4 people who intended to have lunch tasting suckling pig as advertised by the restaurant (specialty: suckling pig from Bairrada), it happened that, when we asked for this specialty to be served..., we were told that there was no "suckling pig", as there was no There had been a prior reservation, this specialty was not available. I would like to give a negative rating to the advertised atmosphere of the restaurant having "ambient music"... there was nothing ambient music... it was just music typical of a festival... loud and strident, annoying. I don't put more stars because there aren't any. Magnificent. We were looking for a place to eat with two small dogs and they told us that there would be no problem on the terrace. As soon as we arrived they offered us water for them, something that in no other place, we always have to be asking and insisting for it. Our surprise was that not only is the place spectacularly beautiful, but we ate incredibly well, and at a very good price. It is a quality place and everything is fresh, so they did not have a very long menu, only 4-5 dishes of the highest quality. We ordered a cod whose recipe competed in a contest and I don't remember if they won, but I would certainly give them the gold. It had confit cod and baked cod with a brutal cheese sauce. We also ordered the suckling pig and we drooled. It was incredibly good. Crispy on the outside, super tender on the inside, and accompanied by potatoes and a sauce that was a delicacy. For dessert we ordered some artisanal Italian ice creams and I guarantee you that they are really Italian. I leave everything in photos. We have certainly bookmarked this site to return whenever we can. The boy and the girl who served us were extremely nice, attentive to us at all times. When we asked for the bill we thought they would charge us a lot given the quality and flavor of everything, but what the hell. We paid €54 for everything. I add a photo of the ticket.

I stopped at it because it was right in front of Chaves Castle and one of the few times that I don't look at the reviews here before choosing where to eat. In terms of quantity, well, being Galician, at first it seemed fair, but after starting to eat and seeing how good everything was, it more than made up for it. The views of the castle also helped me choose it and if I returned I would repeat. The waiter is very kind and friendly.

A true differentiating experience for Leitão lovers. In this region the Bísara breed, meat a little darker and less fatty. It results in crispy skin that is difficult to match. In this restaurant, the Crispy Spheres starters immediately set the (good) tone for the rest of the meal. Followed by a dose of well-roasted Leitão Bísaro, not at all dry and with a sauce that makes you want to steal the recipe :) Adequate wine list compatible with the quality of the menu. The final touch is divine and resulted in an egg white pudding covered in a foam of camel drool that was not repeated, out of respect for the other diners, who had already considered the meal finished some time ago. To revisit, even if it requires a purposeful trip!!

Best Leitão in Chaves! Pork was tender and skin was crispy. Sauce on the side was very flavorful, but a bit on the salty side.
My girlfriend ordered the steak (prego no prato) and it was cooked a perfect medium and very tender.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Will definitely be coming back again. Muito bem!
