Especially for suckling pig lovers, you can eat very tasty and cheap here. I would recommend it to everyone again. One thing needs to be mentioned: the location has a very pleasant indoor climate. I didn't have to sweat here during my visit even though the temperature outside was 36°c.

Since they renovated the premises, the quality has plummeted. When there are many people you can't go. Cod has gotten much worse in both quantity and quality. A shame.

I don't know if it was because we went without a reservation but they put us in a place where the heat was suffocating. The truth is that the food must have been very good, but that way you can't eat to your heart's content. The hot wine, the water for infusion... I left with a drop in tension right to the nearest coffee shop to have a cold drink. We wanted to stop in Chaves to eat at this place, but I didn't want to go back.

Very slow service One of the people in charge/boss, very rude to customers, like a pig in the neighborhood, no way!!!!! The one they brought me was at least 1 day old, I complained and the response from one of the managers/boss was that he wouldn't serve me any more suckling pig or anything else, saying that that suckling pig had come out of the oven an hour ago. I have the photo to make you see that it wasn't true, dry and cold with soft skin!!!!! I got up and left I didn't pay for the wine or the starters that I had already ordered because after 15 minutes no one else came to the table.

Terrible. Bad food. Bad service. Ridiculous prices. The piglet arrived cold, we had it reheated, it arrived as it was: cold. The potatoes are the same. No one apologized or showed any kind of concern. Above €100 for 4 people, for that money you can eat much better almost anywhere else in Chaves.
There are days when the piglet is superb, others are not! I consider prices above the value corresponding to the quantity/quality formula. But a good place to visit and experience. I recommend the esplanada, a place where I haven't been able to have dinner the last 3 times. It was either full or reserved, so get there early.

Without a doubt we were wrong. It is a local meat specialist and we ordered cod, which was disappointing. I can't say it was bad, but we didn't like it. The desserts were not to our liking either. Correct service.

Excellent food! The service was very bad, we barely had 10 minutes to wait for a table because there was a wedding taking place (they were only at the wedding) we were served by a rude girl who asked for several things and we were ignored and left without even a THANK YOU we were told!
