Our server was amazing and our food was delicious. We truly enjoyed our time sitting on the patio for dinner. At the back of the restaurant there is this gorgeous stone spiral staircase you take to get up to the WC…a treasured beauty I quite admired!

Real portugal cuisine! Perfect vegetarian salad to good, see photo, to fresh grilled fish. Really cooked, no fast food. So nice people. You will enjoy

This was perhaps a once in a lifetime dining experience. A highlight of our Portugal visit. Book ahead and don’t be disappointed. Plan for two hours. Not inexpensive. No menu. Eat what they serve. All a surprise. Even my wife, who is a picky eater, ate it all and loved it.

Very local, I went even twice while on my trip. The price to portion ratio is great. The food is nice it has a homemade feeling, made by grannies which is nice :) No one speaks English but they are still nice and try to make the best

To all gastronomic critics, please moderate your comments, since people make a living from what they do and if they are late in serving or serving it is for a reason, they are probably not playing tennis in the patio. The customer is not always right. It is full of fast food chains if you want to eat in 10 minutes. Which is going to be difficult too. We arrived at 4:30 p.m. on a rainy Tuesday looking for a place to eat and despite the time they served us with a smile and good food. Don't be guided by Google comments and go for it. Not just here, everywhere.
Not fancy… very rustic setting, but DELICIOUS. Chanfana - slow cooked goat was AMAZING (they don’t have it every day), and I am not a fan of goat. Really good vegetable soup too. They do simple Portuguese food exceptionally well, and the family is proud of their recipes (as they should be!)

Magnificent Restaurant with typical Portuguese food, one of those that are increasingly difficult to find. Cod from the Espectacular house and we also ate Goat Meat prepared over low heat in red wine sauce, something similar to what Oxtail could be in Spain. The bad reviews do not match reality. The new owner Judith told us that they have only been the new owners for a month and a few days. Highly recommended for those who visit Coimbra.

What ruins the restaurant is the slow service. More than half an hour to be served and almost an hour to be served. The food is ok, nothing outstanding. €13.5 for soup, drink and coffee. The place is nice but I don't recommend it because of the delay
