Anyone walking past this place is doing it wrong, so wrong. Amazingly delicious food, simple fare but it absolutely slaps, and is ridiculous value - you'll be paying more than twice as much for much worse food a few steps down! Sardine salad made me emotional. Brb, I have to google the Portugese word for "exceptional".
Small cafe in the middle of a tourist area.
Great vegetarian sandwich! Great service and prices.

Friendly owners, old-school café. Wish there were more spots like this one. Good prices, good food, freshly-squeezed orange juice :-) Perfect stop on the way uphill.

Inexpensive bar for a bite to eat. Don't look for something very elaborate.
Mixed sandwich (€2.5), pre-cooked hamburger (€2.8), 1/3cl bottle (€2.2)

Overpriced. Received a small cup of orange juice watered out for the price of 2,5 €. Would not come back.

Small place with 4 seats at the counter, frozen in time and space. If we leave aside the hygienic and structural conditions altogether, you can eat simply for little money.
Wheelchair accessibility: It is located right halfway up the stairs leading to the church and is therefore not wheelchair accessible

Perfect place to grab sandwiches on the go for cheap. Very close to the old cathedral of Coimbra, located on a staircase. Very kind and nice owner.
Wheelchair accessibility: Being located on a staircase it is difficult to access in a wheelchair

I can't judge the quality of food or beverages, but just because they didn't give me a chance.I was in an urgent need for a toilet since I am pregnant and literally feel the urge to pee every 5 minutes.I entered the place and asked to the man at the counter if they had a toilet. The man told me to go to the public toilet which was just next door, but it was closed, so I came back and told him. He told me that is not his fault if the public toilet is closed. I told him I had an urgency and was pregnant but he was very rude and said that I couldn't use the toilet before consuming anything.I left, went to the next bar and a very nice guy welcomed me to use the toilet without even having to explain my condition. For sure I will never be a customer of this place.

Small place but fast service.
Friendly owners who prepare simple but terribly tasty snacks for take away (two table outside) and few standing chairs inside.
Toasts and small snadwiches with the fillings of your choice.
Fairly priced considering the location.
Takes only cash
Typical and inexpensive
Cute little place right at the old cathedral to grab a quick bite or drink. The sandwiches are cheap but nothing really special to write about.
(Translated by Google) Regardless of the toast with sardines and tomato that I ordered, the experience was terrible. The owner's lack of education was brutal. Because he didn't want to drink anything, he said that he could NOT eat sitting at the counter. As a tourist, this Portuguese rudeness, typical of some, gives me a very bad image of the country. ?♀️
