Rushed in at the last second (about to close) the staff got the kitchen started for us and made incredible Bifanas. So we got them the best Bifanas in Coimbra, plus big thanks to everyone in the venue. they made us feel at home.

I went on a Saturday morning, although it was busy and there were only omelettes and steaks, made in a hurry.

Casa da Bifanas is a spot that I would describe as fast, affordable, and lively. I've been familiar with this place since my teenage years, and they still offer delivery services. My main reason for visiting is their incredibly quick service—the bifana is served within a minute. The establishment is always bustling with both locals and tourists, and it's not uncommon to see people eating while standing. However, they also provide the option of enjoying a more elaborate meal while seated indoors or outdoors. The atmosphere is vibrant and noisy, filled with friendly individuals. I'm a repeat customer because I'm consistently drawn back to this place.

I loved the steaks
Love this place. It’s a cool place where locals hang out. Great place to grab a quick bite and hang out with locals. It’s always crowded during lunch time. Their bifana is really tasty, and probably our favorite bifana place in town. We’d gotta go back and try other dishes as well.
Went in and out, just like a local. Stood by the bar, had their famous bifanas, with a beer and a "cafe" to finish the meal off. The most memorable part was when a police woman came, back, to the restaurant, dropped her helmet off to the other side of the bar, picked up her unfinished bifanas and glass of beer and continued her lunch. The whole experience of eating there took about 7 minutes, no frills, no fuss, just good food and service! Absolutely loved the experience!

Simple and very tasty authentic bifana in an Portuguese tavern, the best bifana in town. Eat at the counter like the locals for the real thing. Cheap and delicious.
