I used to recommend this place, as the food is, or was, pretty good. Now I've heard from the people I recommended that not only they impose an additional fee for extra sauce, they are also charging a sharing surcharge of 6€ for those splitting a francesinha. This never happened to me before. But I was shocked to hear that they were also extremely rude when questioned about it.I didn't want to believe it, but from reading the responses given to other reviews here, clearly there's something going on.No excuse.

Bad. We waited almost an hour to eat Francesinhas that was expensive and not very good. Served with cold, wet fries. Usually I don't write google opinions, but this one left a unpleasant experienceEDIT: They charged us extra and didn't tell us beforehand

Wonderful atmosphere, with some interesting employees and an out-of-this-world view of the kitchen where the 180cm boss is, tall and broad-shouldered, dark and toned... Wow! It takes your breath away. ? The food, well... the food was good too!Regarding the suggested dish, I would suggest the boss... but they wouldn't go wrong served with a francesinha either, they're wonderful

I really like it, I've been there several times, but I think the price is a little high. The francesinhas are very good without a doubt, just make a note that the puff pastry francesinha should have fried egg and not just be brushed with egg yolk.

I went to discover the specialty of the house that according to friends was the best francesinha in Coimbra. The steak was great and tasty but the francesinha was cold inside, the sauce was a disappointment. Liquid sauce with a flavor that reminds me of Knorr broth. As for the service, I have nothing to say, the employee was friendly. Of course, the flavor of the sauce is personal, not identifying with the sauces we find in Porto or Braga. As for the rest, it had quality, and it was fresh, I can't deny it. I just didn't like the sauce, with all due respect because I see that a lot of people like it.
