I went to this cafe, with a friend to chill and study for a few hours. We are portuguese students, living in Porto and I've never felt more unwelcomed in a cafe. I understand that sometimes people occupy tables for no reason. However, despite having some clients, there were plenty of empty tables. Besides, I paid around 10€ for two capouccinos and a toast made of white loaf bread (2.50€), which is extremely expensive for portuguese people. Althought dissapointing, the worst part of this experience was the waiter, who made us fell uncomfortable and unwelcomed, by making subtle (not so sublte) comments about the time and space we were wasting, every time he got the chance to. I will never return to this place and I don't recommend eating nor staying here.

The hotel overlooks Botafogo beach, Sugar Loaf Mountain and, in the distance, Cristo Redentor. The staff is efficient and friendly, the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, the showers hot and powerful, the breakfast spread good …. The rooftop bar view is spectacular and the drinks and food good and not overpriced. There are bikes (iffy brakes!) which are great for cycling to Copocabana etc - there are cycle paths all the way. All in all, can thoroughly recommend, especially if you want to be near the big beaches but want to avoid the crowds

This hotel is in a great location and was perfect for our short stays during our tour of Rio. It is on a busy road but the noise is not really noticeable from the room. The location makes it easy to get around the different parts of the city and has the most amazing views of sugar loaf and christ the redeemer. A real wow moment from the roof top of Botafogo bay. Would recommend upgrading from a basic room as they are much nicer.

Fernanda is the best. She helped me out with a weird flight schedule. Great breakfast! There are free bikes to borrow. The rooftop deck is nice - shallow pool - and the restaurant up there has a good salmon salad and non-alcoholic drinks. Everyone working there is friendly. Convenient location with the usual Rio traffic.

As an only English speaking tourist, check in was very slow and difficult with the language barrier. Eventually we were able to go to our room which was nice - not mind blowing but modern, clean and light. We paid extra for a view of Christ the Redeemer but this also meant having a room by a very noisy road. Room was quite small and the air conditioning not very effective. The shower was fun - being able to look out on the Redeemer was great! The views from the rooftop bar were superb but the service was a little slow. Breakfast was fine - nice setting but inattentive service again and not a wide selection of items. This is a decent but expensive option in Rio.

The food was all delicious and very filling. All of the drinks we had were refreshing and well balanced. And the view was amazing. Tainá was an excellent server and super helpful in selecting the best dishes on the menu.

Yoo2 is my place to stay in Rio. It’s terrace is just the place to work, eat and relax; all at the same time. Look for Tainã for classic caipirinhas, made with a smile. He will make your stay nice and friendly

Great breakfast, gym and view of Sugarloaf. Special thanks to the staff including Leandro for helping us borrow a bike to ride around the waterfront. The rooms have a nice decor but unfortunately the floors are a bit old. Also the street noise is quite loud if your window is facing the road behind the hotel.

Lovely hotel, great views, location and service, and mean Caipirinhas cocktails made by barman Taina on the rooftop bar were excellent !!! Upgrade your room though…. Basic room doesn’t come with much of a view
