The hotel overlooks Botafogo beach, Sugar Loaf Mountain and, in the distance, Cristo Redentor. The staff is efficient and friendly, the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, the showers hot and powerful, the breakfast spread good …. This hotel is in a great location and was perfect for our short stays during our tour of Rio. It is on a busy road but the noise is not really noticeable from the room. The location makes it easy to get around the different parts of the city and has the most amazing views of sugar loaf and christ the redeemer. A real wow moment from the roof top of Botafogo bay. Would recommend upgrading from a basic room as they are much nicer.
Fernanda is the best. She helped me out with a weird flight schedule. Great breakfast! There are free bikes to borrow. The rooftop deck is nice - shallow pool - and the restaurant up there has a good salmon salad and non-alcoholic drinks. Everyone working there is friendly. Convenient location with the usual Rio traffic.
