I was looking for a more local restaurant near my hotel and stumbled up this one. I arrived early and they kindly let me sit down while they finished setting up. Service was great and my server was very helpful. The menu was only in Portuguese so between google translate and the server I was fine. Food was really good. Just like all the other places I went to, they offered me the bread, cheese and olives beforehand. I declined these, knowing there is a change for any that you nibble on. Was a great meal and nice to feel part of the community and less like a tourist.

We wanted one last Portuguese meal rather than hotel food. This place was great. They served us a free appetizer plus bread and cheese/sardines. I had the cod and my wife had the seafood entree. Both were fresh and delicious. Waiter (owner) was very gracious.

The food was great, so was the service and the price was good considering what we ordered (a Tamahwk for 2 people, a fillet of veal on the stone and a veal steak). The only thing I'd say is, if you're going to book a table for dinner and you're unsure about the weather, book it inside, because we stayed outside and it was cold, so the food got cold quickly. But overall it was a great experience.
Every time I am in Lisbon this is a must place to visit for dinner. Their salmon and steak on a stone is just fabulous. Quality of food and friendly staff is outstanding.

Highly recommended by our Portuguese friends, these guys are a no-nonsense space when it comes to being a tavern, but their produce is outstanding. We were served raw steak fillets (as we made a special request to get ribeye steaks slived rather than in one large chunk as is traditional here) on piping hot slabs of stone, to prepare our meat ourselves. Succulent and dripping in garlic butter, you might want to fast before or after a visit here. It's a cab ride out of the city but it is well worth it.
