On the advice of a friend who lived in Coimbra we headed here for dinner: very good dishes (we ate meat) accompanied by classic Portuguese side dishes (salad with onions, tomatoes and potatoes). All very good, informal place, attentive but discreet and kind service, very reasonable price (we spent €24 for two!). To try!

Great food at great price. Wonderful grill dishes (we had grilled steak, twice, lamb in stew, chicken skewer, salad)No complicated recipes, it’s like simply cooked family meals by grandma with wonderful flavors. Our two younger kids and we all enjoyed our dishes. It’s not a date place - but family restaurant for families. Highly recommend.

The restaurant staff seemed tired and emotional, which likely contributed to the bad service(very late food and rude attitude) we received. While I understand the staff may have been going through a difficult period, that does not excuse the poor customer experience. I would suggest the restaurant take steps to better support and train their team to ensure all patrons receive attentive and professional service, regardless of the circumstances. I hope they are able to make improvements so that future diners have a more positive experience.
