Peculiar (PECULIAR SUSHI OR STEAK)

One of the best sushi in Coimbra, fresh, tasty and well executed. In addition to the great variety of sushi, the desserts are incredible. Attentive and friendly staff. I have some allergies and they are always very careful. Very pleasant space.

Definitely not traditional Japanese. The famous combinations here are fusion mixes and the pieces are "gourmerized". Everything well done and with very soft rice but full of tare sauce. I particularly missed the taste of sushi.

the peculiar mix of starters is a surprise chosen by the chef. Mine came with spring rolls (mini crepe), fried shrimp (tempura) and tropical cheviche. Everything tasty.

I ordered the tonkatsu and the salad lacked dressing. The frying was ok.

I ordered the tropical noodles and found them to be bad. Very sweet sauce, hard noodles seemed old. The fruits were good.

the pot of tea is well served and the crockery is beautiful.

We finished with the adzuki bean tart, which could have been a cinnamon tart because the adzuki beans are barely noticeable. The ice cream actually tastes like sesame.

I found the noodles to be super expensive for what is served.

service is quick and attentive.
The environment is pleasant.
There is an easy parking space.

MANDATORY STOP IN COIMBRA. Good places are not only good because of the quality of their food, which, in this case, is unsurpassed, but because of how they manage unforeseen events. We had a misunderstanding with the language and they understood that we had a reservation, but in reality they occupied an already reserved table. Despite it being our fault, they treated us great and solved the problem. The food is exquisite. A ten. YOU WILL NOT REGRET

This isn't the first time I've been to this restaurant and every time I've been disappointed. However, I decided to give it one more (and last) chance by going for the first time in a dinner setting instead of lunch. I feel like they clung to the “fame” they have.
Very slow service... for the price you pay (which is not a lot) it falls short of expectations.
We went as a family and there were 6 of us, 3 of whom ordered lemonades... there was nothing lemonade, it looked like they had used 1 lemon to make 5L of lemonades (without any acidity or sweetness).
We ordered 6 temakis which were turned over with an interval of 10 minutes between the first 2 served and the last to be served.
Few employees for the movement that was there and if we needed to know any of them, we wouldn't even see them ?.
The sushi itself isn't bad but I've paid a lot less to eat very similar sushi with MUCH better service.
In general, I don't recommend it. In Coimbra there are other better sushi’s!

The sushi was a huge disappointment. Out of 32 pieces, 10 came with strawberries and another 10 with other fruits. I understand that it is a fusion and non-traditional sushi but 10 pieces with strawberry are not justified....

The sushi is nothing special, I'd say it's a 6 out of 10 in terms of variety of pieces and the quality of the chef's chosen pieces. Last time almost all pieces of tuna came....The restaurant has been losing quality! Despite having fresh products, for the price they charge it doesn't justify it! There is still a lot to improve, a lot! Now it is the owner who decides, whether to evolve and be better, or to regress in the quality of his restaurant and its service. The first time I went I loved it, and I can't say the same about the last two times! I gave it a chance and I don't think about going back. In addition to having a maid who is always in trouble, unwilling and unwilling to work, but that's it, you find people frustrated with the lives they lead almost everywhere! The friendliest and most professional person is undoubtedly the man who is always in a good mood and ready to help, with a smile always on his face, a true professional!

The restaurant looks good inside and the staff are friendly. The tables are extremely close to each other, which makes the space uncomfortable. There are few employees for the number of tables so service is slow. The sushi is just ok. Some pieces are downright weak, others are better. It's not impressive. There are good desserts. The price is high considering the quality. There are better chances in the city.
