Very kind, welcoming and even honest about the proportions! Suckling pig on a plate for two with salad, very very good! The fries look delicious too.
THANKS

The suckling pig was at the level of the best restaurants. The mixed salad is very good. The service was very courteous. White wine on draft was very good. The Chef, Mr. Antônio Vasconcelos, has a friendliness and attention to customers that is rare to find. For all this 5 stars.

Too bad the leitao was delicious, but served with fries, frozen!
A little expensive for a rather average environment

Eat here! The pork bifanas (simple sandwich of roast pork on a Portuguese bun) are amazing. Served with a delicious sauce. The server and the chef were very welcoming. They gave us a sample of home made soup. We wanted to go back but they were closed Sundays.

Really loved this place. The owner and staff are so welcoming and friendly, helped to translate the menu into English for us and make recommendations. The suckling pig sandwich was incredible, super tender and succulent and amazing value for money at €6.20 for a (very generously filled) sandwich and a glass of red wine. We were the only ones there at 7pm but the staff chatted and joked with us and the atmosphere was still lovely. 10/10 would recommend!

Good atmosphere but very bad suckling pig.The suckling pig must be served natural, it cannot be heated. You cannot serve suckling pig on a plate that you have to hold with a cloth to avoid burning it.Too bad...

Had a drink and a Sandes do leitão (roasted pork) along with a beer. The sandwich came with a pepper-garlic dressing which I just couldn’t have enough of. The guy was very friendly. It’s a small establishment with a bar stool and a few table settings, very local feel!

A genuine place, with a menu with few but surprising dishes. If you pass through Coimbra, come and taste a Portuguese vegetable and legume soup that will take you away and a crispy suckling pig that will lick your fingers, good people and table service. Super friendly, if you don't come you will regret it, keep in mind the place is not very big, authentic PORTUGUESE SPIRIT.

The real suckling pig!! 85 year old tradition!!! Roast suckling pig in a wood-fired oven and show house wine.Mr Antonio welcomed us very well!!A pleasant experience!!RAIZ Restaurant.
Typical and simple house in an alley in old Coimbra. Excellent Bairrada suckling pig, with crispy skin, as it should be, accompanied by beautiful fries and a well-composed salad. Fair price for what is served, well below what you would order in any restaurant in the neighborhood. And the flavor is nothing like it. Coming back without a doubt.
