Very slow speed. They brought my wife's food 30 min before mine. She waited but her food was getting cold so she ate hers while I watched and when I got my food she was already finished. This was despite of asking to bring our meals at the same time. It was also very salty blow average We had to ask for the bill 3 times thats how slow they are. Flies flying around was the most annoying part nd the torture of experiencing the slowest speed of service in history. Horrible experience

Quality product and friendly treatment. Maybe it was somewhat tourist-oriented (there were a lot of foreigners), or maybe it was because of the day/time we went, but in any case it seemed very authentic. The children's menu is very good. It is not cheap for Coimbra.

We have come as a large group with children, 5 adults and 6 children, one of the adults has celiac disease, they understand this well, they have a special menu in which there is also desserts to enjoy. We were surprised by the good service, the quality of the food, the elaborate recipes, and that it was not the typical children's menu. Highly recommended!

Wow! Do not miss this place. We stopped at Coimbra on our way down from Porto and found this place from others reviews. This place is sensational. I had the salmon, others had the sardine dish which was exceptional paired with delicious wine and finally insane dessert. The owner, Denisiao, was attentive to our needs and answered our million questions. He is an exceptional chef with a unique endearing humbleness for such brilliant chef. We ate at this restaurant only because the rating was high. But the high rating must be a system error. Why: 1. The dishes are small in quantity, compared to what you pay. 2. The bathrooms are ruined: the women's bathroom had two places, one of which had no door, and the other did not close. Let's make a pity point about the state of cleanliness of the bathrooms which seems like a general Portuguese thing. ?♀️

Charming restaurant in the historic center of Coimbra. We were surprised by the suggestions of the restaurant's friendly staff; rice with sardine tempura, cod with garnish, etc. A very significant detail: after the beers, we ordered a bottle of water with the intention of taking it with us later to walk around the city (it was hot). They brought us a large glass one and when we finished, they gave us two small bottles of water to take away. The staff is charming and makes an effort to make themselves understood in Spanish to the public of our country.
