We went to try it because it offers a different menu with some African dishes. The service leaves a lot to be desired, although the person who served us was friendly, right when choosing the dishes, he received the order of two people at the table, ignored the other two and left; he returned, took the order of the dishes of the rest, took note of the drinks of a customer, once again ignored the remaining 3 and left the table. Very confusing, not rude but basically ignoring requests...
Sol do Mondego is not a tourist restaurant in Coimbra. It is located in a complex of buildings as a condominium.Its public must be residents of this complex. The menu is varied, with Portuguese dishes and some others from other regions.Prices vary around 10 to 15 euros, so it's not expensive. However, the food left something to be desired on our recent visit.The house cod, a small piece with a lot of bones and extremely salty, was difficult to eat... The steak, accompanied...

Tuna steak with onions, poor. Thin and salty.
Nice fish moqueca, with one caveat: a moqueca cannot have bones. The fish selection is poor and lacks variety. It's not a fish moqueca... it's (was) "dourada". With some prawns, not peeled, which could even be dispensed with.
