We entered and it was a very different place, an old tavern with old crockery and tablecloths.

Excellent. The real Portuguese tavern. If ordered in advance, it is possible to prepare game dishes such as wild boar or deer. It is no longer easy to find this type of space in Coimbra. Most have succumbed to the passage of time to give rise to pizzerias or tapas restaurants for tourists. Go with an open mind, without prejudice and ready to accept what this place has to offer you.
