Very friendly staff, excellent cuisine with very good value for money.
If there is room (not many tables unfortunately) don't hesitate for a second.

It says it opens at 12:30pm, but when I arrived they asked me to wait until 1pm... One of the people was still peeling the potatoes, which conveyed a lack of organization. The restaurant was empty.

Great neighborhood place. No stupid tourists (other than us). Fabulous food and cheap drinks. Portions are huge!!!! We ate outside and it was perfection.

Great authentic Portuguese food. We had the pork and potatoes. And olives and bread of course. It was just fantastic. And the service was great. No English but we managed just fine. Very small and cozy dining area.

I made a reservation the day before and there wasn't much friendliness, I immediately found it a bit cold but I saw the good reviews here and decided to give it a try. I found the same thing at the place, in addition to the space being quite small, I found everything unwelcoming. There was no soup, because according to the man of the house "they didn't have time to make it" and there was no decaf, no fruit for dessert, just conventual sweets. The "homemade" chicken was good, the pasta was edible. The man said "he was unlucky to have come today" and when he brought the bill he said he didn't charge for the salad. The worst thing is that there was no time to make soup, but the owners were already sitting eating with customers at 1:30 pm... I didn't like it, I thought it was weak and tasteless. It's like a tavern, but in a bad way. I don't recommend it and I don't intend to return.

Nice hole in the wall typical Portuguese restaurant. The owners are husbands and wife. Super sweet and engaging people who clearly enjoy what they do. We got the spinach soup and the. Chanfana (stewed goat). Limited seating indoors as a place is quite small. Lots of tables outside on the sidewalk.
Dietary restrictions: Soup is vegetarian

We came for dinner after our tour guide suggested it. They only had 4 things to choose from: chicken, octopus, codfish and pork. They cook ‘pratos do dia’ and I have to say they were delicious. We had the chicken and the octopus. The octopus was super tender and had a nice onion sauce. The chicken tasted like ‘coq au vin’, it was cook in a different sauce than the octopus a little bit more sweet. It’s really small inside, they have 4 tables that can accommodate between 2-3 people. And it seems during the day they have tables outside as well. The kitchen is run by one lady and there’s just one server that seems to be the owner. He’s a real treat, he kept talking to us in Portuguese and English and was very entertaining.I can’t suggest this place enough. 2 pratos do dia, one soda, one beer, bread and olives was €28.

The place was cozy and traditional and the food AMAZING. But the best thing about this place is the people who own it! It was a pleasure eating there!

If you want to eat truly Portuguese food, this is the place, the octopus is excellent, but what surprised us was the chicken, a surprising, inexplicable flavor, and they have house wine for an excellent price, I highly recommend it, I went 2 times and would come back.
