This seems to be the best option for suckling pig in the town centre of Coimbra. A serve of three portions cost €40. Sangria, €10 for a jug. Salad and more chips than I could possibly eat, €4.50 each. The waiter’s English was very good. Desserts were enjoyable. All up, €69. And three devout diners were completely satiated.
Suckling pig skin is crispy and the meat is tender. The soup is delicious and homemade. Service was super friendly, even though the waiter didn't speak much English.
Fantastic leitao, and loved the special house port at the end of the meal. Good choice.
The most authentic experience we’ve had in Portugal so far - great roasted suckling pig with a lovely salad provided a complete meal that satisfied the whole family - welcoming service was the cherry on top!
Great lunch. They cook only one dish, roasted piglet, but it is absolutely delicious. it's possible to chose sandwich or a plate with pork, salad and frried potatoes. Beer or house wine, not bad, to drink. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The place is small and easy. Inexpensive. Reccomended
great piglet5 stars without a doubt
tiny restaurant with best roasted pork ever! not just a sandwich, a delicious meal. host made us feel like special guests. a real experience....and so inexpensive.
Great sit down meal - but ordering a sandwich at the counter (or to go for the train) is where the real value is at for the solo traveler.
Great food and very friendly service
We were in search of a restaurant that the locals go to and we found it. This small, quaint place had scrumptious pork sandwiches with crispy skin and French fries. We did have to break out our travel salt shaker and sprinkle some on the fries. The beer was the perfect thing to wash it all down. Yum!

The best leitão sandwich in portugal. Always on my list when in Coimbra. Would recommend checking this beautiful tiny place.
Perfect portugese food. Must visit!
Trata-se de uma tasquinha simples com atendimento simpático. O Leitão é bom mas nada de extraordinário e não é muito barato.
Sandes de leitão bem boas e baratas.
