This is the one and only friendly place I was able to find along this whole stretch of the coast. Very authentic with its tiled walls, Benfica trinkets, and super bock delivery guys hanging around for their morning coffee. Ok, I got a cappuccino when I ordered a meia de leite, but this was probably in an honest attempt to accommodate tourist tastes. (While the rest of town and around it have been ruined by the latter, regarding both infrastructure and friendliness).
Don't judge a book by its cover.
It may not look the best, but the food and the service were probably the best I ever had. And it was super affordable.
