What a surprise ! Dishes cooked live. The manager who is also the cook was very welcoming and dedicated. Four of us ate in the evening. It's a real atypical restaurant from real Portugal. My 9 year old daughter loved it.

Portuguese food with the flavors of our grandmothers. The daily menu depends on the day's purchases, and all the food is prepared after the customers choose. Very good. The atmosphere, if possible, on the terrace is very calm and relaxing. A place to go without rushing.

Sometimes as a tourist, you stumble across a place or experience that is just magical. This is one of those places. We happened upon this place heading toward the coast and are so glad we did. We don’t speak Portuguese, but with a bit of Spanish and Google translate, we ordered fish and chicken. The meals are family style, with salads and sides (and dessert). Everything is homemade by a Portuguese grandmother (some of the grandchildren got home from school while we were eating lunch). Food was incredibly fresh and authentic. It’s not haute cuisine, it is homey, delicious, authentic Portuguese cooking. Don’t be in a rush and come enjoy this bit of Portugal that is not on the tourist path.

Incredible rustic authentic place where the locals hang out, the menu is simple and the food is great. It is a bit hard to find. A pink house with the number 6, and long stairs to bring you to the upper floor. Great value for money too.
Vegetarian options: They provide vegetarian and vegan choices by asking you what you want and preparing it there and then.
Kid-friendliness: There are kids toys present.

A place with a real Portuguese and homely atmosphere. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is like grandma's home. The prices were very low, we paid 36 euros for 2 starters, 2 main courses, 2 desserts and two jugs of wine. A place worth visiting!

She was very patient, kind and accommodating. Honestly, this was such a joy, that this memory will live rent free in the back of my head for years to come.

A bit disappointing, overpriced for the location and meals.
A shame I didn't find it. There were no signs and it was nowhere to be seen.We had to eat an empanada at the foot of the road.

I had the pleasure of being attended to by Dona Celeste and Seu Alfredo. During my entire stay in Portugal and Spain, it was the best meal I had. For them there is only plenty, so if you are hungry this is the right place. I was very well looked after by the couple and I will certainly remember them for the rest of my life. It's a very rustic place, but with an incredible experience.??
