We had a horrible experience! A very unfriendly waitress, served us two gins in soda glasses, saying that they didn't have glasses to serve gin and tonic, and in the end she charged €22.00!!! Terrible quality/price ratio!!!

We were on a private tour of Sintra and the region. Our guide, who was very good, and a local native, took us to this restaurant for a latish lunch (late lunches seem to be the norm in Portugal and Spain). The food we had, with suggestions from our guide, was very good. The restaurant is on the coast, and provides a wide selection of fish dishes, all very tempting. We noticed that they had Barnacles on the menu (it was the most expensive dish on the menu!). Our guide told us that this was a Portuguese delicacy, especially when watching football games (soccer to Americans). Imagine replacing Buffalo Chicken Wings with Barnacles! Our waiter gave us a small dish of them, and our guide showed us how to take the shell off, to expose the edible part. They didn't seem to have much taste -- just a briny sea taste. Some people would have said "Eeew!", but we were game to try lots of things on that trip.
