Regional de Colares Winery is a beautiful winery with a museum-like atmosphere, offering fun and delicious wine tasting experiences. The knowledgeable and friendly staff contribute to a pleasant visit, making it a great place for both amateurs and wine professionals. Visitors can enjoy trying native grapes such as Ramisco (red) and Malvasia (white). The Visconde de Salreu Cellars, built in the 1920s, showcase a splendid architectural design. This big warehouse is where wine casks of various sizes are stored to age wine. Historically, it was the aging building of a single winery, but now different vineyards rent space for their casks. The venue also features a banquet room used for weddings and large parties, adding to the winery's charm. While some improvements can be made to the quality-price ratio, the wines are truly unique due to the sandy soils and sea influence. It is recommended to book a tour and tasting in advance, as it can be a worthwhile experience.
