I came with my girlfriend, advised by a friendly couple and it corresponded 100% to what they had told me. Excellent dinner and atmosphere. A special compliment to Inês Duque who attended to us. Experience to repeat.

Dinner was excellent, welcoming atmosphere and outstanding staff. Available and attentive. The chef (João Carlos Monica) and Inês stand out for their friendliness, concern and warm welcome. Definitely an experience for those who prefer a different meal that is characteristic of the area. Without a doubt a restaurant that stands out for us and will be returning!

I am a concierge and consultant for foreign clients in Portugal.
I am extremely disappointed with my client's experience with this restaurant in Comporta.
I had made a reservation which I unfortunately had to cancel. Despite this cancellation, I was charged 75 CHF, which seems totally unfair and inappropriate to me, especially given that there was a waiting list.
I find this policy not only unethical, but also disappointing for customers who find themselves penalized for no good reason.
The restaurant could have easily assigned my table to another person waiting, which would have avoided this unjustified charge.
Furthermore, Portuguese law does not provide for this kind of behavior from restaurateurs, which makes this situation even more unacceptable.

I certainly would not recommend this establishment and I strongly advise you to review your policies to be more respectful of your customers and adopt more ethical practices.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Cavalariça Comporta. I had made a reservation for [date of the reservation], but had to cancel in advance due to an unforeseen circumstance. Despite my cancellation, the restaurant decided to charge me 75.-.

I fully understand that restaurants have cancellation policies to protect against last-minute cancellations, but in this case, I informed the restaurant within a reasonable timeframe. This charge seems unfair and shows a lack of consideration for customers.

I expected a more understanding and professional service from Cavalariça Comporta. Unfortunately, this experience has tarnished my opinion of this establishment, and I will not be recommending this restaurant to my friends and family. I hope that the restaurant management will take this feedback into account and adjust their practices to better treat their customers in the future.

Drove to this town on the way to Algarve. The restaurant is super cute with its decor. However the food was more mediocre than great. Bread wasn’t the freshest. Steak tartar was undersalted. And they should really warn you there’s only 2 tiny tiny shrimps for €57 and not put it under main entree. These shrimps are expensive but much larger at other restaurants. The oyster and parfait was enjoyable.

Wonderful setting (old horse stables) and excellent food. Madhu was amazing sharing details of the tasting menu and recommending the wine. Highly recommend when visiting Comporta. Classic.

Too much wait for food and errors with service. We paid a bill of €200 for 3 people and left angry.

Excellent meal, fresh ingredients and care in their preparation. We found the service somewhat erratic, sometimes the food was delivered quickly, sometimes we had to wait 20 minutes for the next dish. When the side dish arrived we had already eaten the other dishes. Something to improve. I have no problem giving gratification, but it has to come from the consumer and not be assumed by default, including the amount to be given.
