Had a very good dinner tonight after a day spent on the beach ! Got to finally try some portuguese specialties (grilled mackerel) in a local place where they serve good quantities for a good price. My friends tried the half chicken and the choco frito which were also very tasty, it was worth the wait.
The service was so great thanks to the beautiful Alice who served us with a smile and was the sweetest the whole time we were there even though the restaurant was busy.

The food was simply delicious, with fresh and tasty snacks that go perfectly with a day at the beach and a red fruit sangria. Prices are normal and portions are generous. But what really won us over was Diogo's service. This young man, who uses his summer holidays to work at the café, has the attitude of a true professional. His friendliness, attention to detail and excellent service made all the difference. He made the gastronomic experience at Café São João even more enjoyable. If you are looking for a place to eat well, with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service, Café São João is the ideal place. I highly recommend it! I will definitely come back!

We went in because I needed to go to the bathroom, it was very busy, I asked for a coffee at the counter and asked if I could use the bathroom, I was told with the utmost friendliness "of course, feel free", even with so much hustle and bustle they attended to us as If we were customers who were having lunch, we ended up buying a water and an ice cream but I felt like going back to try the restaurant itself.
