Beautiful, out of the way restaurant on the road above São Bento. Well worth the drive up the hill for the owner's humor and very reasonable prices. We had the plate of the day, cod fish (bacalhau) and pork chops. Both came with an excellent seasoned rice. Sorry, we were hungry and I forgot to take a picture of the food. Five of us ate for 50€ which included a bottle of wine.

Bad. I don't doubt that their treatment with regular clientele is good, but our experience was not. We went on the recommendation of the person who rented us the vacation home, as he told us that the food was homemade and the price was fair. The waitress or owner... presented us with a limited menu, and in which the price of the cod dish, which was what we wanted, was 30 euros. So, seeing it as excessive for a humble roadside bar, (careless, the photos don't do it justice and we are hard-working people accustomed to normal bars with homemade food, where there is usually good product, good stew and friendly service) we asked about the steak. bosk that we saw here in the photo. She told us that that was the menu of the day, but that there wasn't one for us, it was only for regulars. We decided to have steak and cutlet... from the menu, a beer and a wine. The normal meal, 14 and 15 euros, both steaks-cutlet with potatoes and fried egg and a little bit of salad. But since almost from the first moment his attitude was quite unpleasant, we did not want to order more drinks or desserts. We prefer to spend our money in other types of places, where the menu is displayed to know if you are interested in entering or not, where care is taken to inform the client about the dishes, they are advised, they are treated kindly, with the desire to do well. They work and take care of the place a little...which was very very neglected. Greetings, I hope you reflect on it to improve.

Service was very pleasant. Food was surprisingly balanced and served in traditional maner. Recomendin to come by, especialy after the hike PR1 or PR2 route and relax in local atmosfere.

It was a bad experience. My daughter's burger was made with the plastic that was claimed and the response was "it was a rush", apart from the poor service and the language of other customers who had no respect for there being young people at the table.
