Only advantage of this restaurant is the view. The food was terrible. Dry ribs, difficult to bite and poor taste of chicken breast. We ordered starter which we received together with soups. During we eat the soups we already received the main dish. Table was not big enough to carry all the plates.

We drove here from Funchal to see the Curral das Freiras mountain view. Food was ok. Nice place to eat and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

Be careful when paying the bill, as they always charge an extra amount and pretend not to understand. They do not show the amount on the card machine. Be alert.
The total for my lunch was €18.50, but when I went to pay, they charged me €20, even though the receipt said €18.50.
If you are not a regular customer, you can expect to wait forever to be served.
The food is nothing special.

We received some free (leftover) pieces of meat with our sangria. Very delicious and beautiful view over the valley

A beautiful view of the valley and a cold Coca-Cola. These are the only advantages of this "restaurant". Food terrible. We ordered grilled chicken and ribs. There were more bones than meat in the chicken (we expected grilled breast, but what we got, I don't know what, maybe the back?) and the ribs were a maximum of 0.5 cm thick and had probably been reheated several times and burnt. Hard as the rocks visible around. The service was nice, but you should avoid this place because of the very bad food.

We only took chestnuts, but we didn't like them at all. I don't know if it's the chestnuts themselves or the method of preparation, but I don't recommend them.

Honor to the humble local places of Madeira, honestly it was what we were looking for. A place that we could define as home-made and a little spartan, with a visible grill inside the restaurant, the chefs who could have been my uncle and aunt at the barbecue on May 1st, I was already excited (if I wanted to go to the restaurant I went to Milan, my opinion). Breathtaking view from the balcony for this small restaurant located at the base of the mountains that surround it in their entirety. Super cheap place, with 7 euros we got a "complete" dish of chicken and pork, rice, potatoes and salad... fantastic. I want to point out the kindness of the waitresses, they made us feel at home. Go there

Eaten well. Had to wait a bit long because they forgot we were there.
Also a misunderstanding in the food order. Our waitress understood very little English.
Very helpful.
