I've visited Elvas a few times, but 1 year ago, on one of those visits, I came across a little corner for dinner. The gentleman at the time very kindly said "you're not lucky at all but go there and have a good dinner and you can even say that I recommended it" so we did and during dinner he showed up and talked a little more and that's how we stayed. The next day we returned for lunch and once again, there was no lunch for anyone. If you want, call and book and I'm happy to welcome you.
This year I didn't miss it, oh yes, I booked 3 months in advance because I knew I was going to go there.
The truth is that on the 10th, we called to confirm, and there was our reservation still 400km away... It gave some relief as we were 7 hungry guinea pigs.
Let's get to the point, the same humble, honest and sincere reception.
Homemade food, no rococo, no fuss... Just tasty and we think "mom, a little more ffs"
I'm not a cinnamon fan, but everyone said the cinnamon cake was out of this world.
