Noteworthy details: Muy caro y muy mala administración la factura me la mandaron cinco días después y sin detalles de los cargos solamente el total. La habitación de uso individual me cobraron como doble. No volveré.
We stopped for lunch on our way back from Lisbon and it was a success. Very good service, highlighting the friendliness of the staff, the quality and quantity of the dishes, all delicious and at a very good price.
Pousada Santa Luzia was inaugurated on April 19, 1942 and was the first of the Pousadas of Portugal. In the 2010s, it ceased to belong to the chain of inns, being sold to a private chain. I was curious to go back to his restaurant, famous for its golden cod, a recipe invented there in 1947. I was disappointed. The place is still pleasant, but I was surprised that I was almost the only customer at lunch and that the waitress (diligent and hardworking) didn't speak Portuguese....
