Traveled to Golega for the horse fair. Found this local bar restaurant the other evening. Came back for a second time. The food excellent and even though we have no Portuguese the staff have been so helpful. Lots of laughs with wine and good
We will arrive after hoursDriving, at 9:45 pm, they already had the kitchen closed, we were 4 adults, but the owner told us that even so he gave us dinner because he had a good heart, that he wouldn't let us not be able to eat anything for dinner, since in this neighborhood there was no bar more open, he prepared us a delicious meat grill, some impressive fries, a salad... all exceptional, we have rarely met a person like him, kind, helpful, attentive, and on top of that it's very cheap, I recommend it 100% if we're ever in the area, we'll definitely do it again.
