The waiter was excellent, on the other hand the bacalao was very bad, overcooked and had a smell, all served with cooked cabbage which did not look appealing. Too disappointed.

I ate some roast fish for lunch at Maria's Taverna on the seafront in Espinho... discovering that they make an excellent "Bacalao Maison". Seen on our neighbors' table. I went back in the evening to taste it. Passed with full marks. The dessert “Pineapple with port wine” is also very good. Polite staff and fair prices. I highly recommend it, possibly at times that anticipate the influx of customers, to be served with better care.

Perfectly grilled seabass (€12), which was de-boned tableside. The Steak, Prego no Prato (€8.90) was good, but unfortunately, the steak was tough.The Sangaria was properly prepared with a nice mix of fresh fruit (€10/jarr). The service was attentive and friendly. There was minimal language barrier, but it did not affect the quality of the service.Can't beat the atmosphere, as from the patio, you have a perfect view of the ocean.

Les sardines à la brasa sont extras et les calamars grillés parfaits. Les desserts sont bien frais et l'accueil ainsi que le service agréable, souriant. Et de plus une belle vue sur l'océan avec les mouettes et les goélands.

The quality of the food is not bad, in the case of the roasted cod, although the cod fillet is a good thing as it is burnt all black.In the case of a charcoal sea bream for two people, the value shown is €28.00 and €12.00 for one person, there is no difference in the weight of the fish.The sea bream supposedly for two people weighs approximately 300/400g and is served on three different plates to try to avoid the precession of the customer.On a plate there is the sea bream without the spine and head with 4 or 5 crushed potatoes and on the two plates served to customers where they are going to dine, each plate has a part of the sea bream's belly.It would be fairer to present the fish on a platter to the customer before grilling it and on the menu to present the price per kgFor one person, the sea bream is enough and given the size, being a 300/400g sea bream, the cost of €12.00 is acceptable.The big issue is that they try to underestimate the customer's intelligence and make people believe that it is one sea bream for two people and bill €28.00 for a 300/400g aquaculture fish, which costs around €5.00 to €6.00. € Kg, even with the gain for the restaurant, the value of €10.00 to €12.00 could still be understood.With the nerve to charge €28.00 for a sea bream weighing up to 400g, I ask why they don't put the price per kg on the menu?If the fish served was worth €28.00 for two people, how big would the fish be for one person?A petinga worth €12.00 for visas.
