Had a good time here for dinner. However, in the end, they charged us more than the average price for boiled vegetables. 2 plates of potatoes, broccoli, and carrots cost 30€. We came back the next day and questioned the bill, and they said because the price of vegetables are expensive these days and they don't normally make those dishes. They said we should have checked the bill before paying the night before, too. It's not a good experience if you can't speak Portuguese at this restaurant. We were tourists, and they took advantage of us, I believe. I hope this helps you to choose a restaurant to eat in Espinho.

I was feeling a bit poorly and we went to 15 as it was close by. Their Sunday Chicken soup was one of the most comforting and delicious things I've had recently. Soothing orzo, excellent stock and chicken offal. €2.50. Superb. The Mrs and Child said their fries were as good as any they've had.

The restaurant is nothing special in terms of design. Authentic Portuguese. There are 3 small tables outside with 2 chairs each. There are about 10 tables inside. Small and clear. We were warmly welcomed by the boss. An employee brought us the small card. (You rarely see a small menu, which speaks for good quality, the restaurant has existed for over 20 years, which also speaks for good quality) The boss and the waiter were always friendly and polite. We kept asking if everything was OK and if we had any questions. The boss always tried to make us happy. There were 6 of us and EVERYONE loved the food. We had fish, Francesinha with egg and fries, cachorro with rice and fries, soup and dessert - chocolate mousse. I have been eating Francesinha for 22 years and this has been the BEST Francesinha for me in 22 years so far. The Mousse o Chocolate was intense and hearty and delicious. 87€ for 6 people. TOP. We will be back and I can recommend the restaurant with best regards. Very gladly.

During the lunch time, you can get the "prato do dia" (plate of the day) for 10 euros which gives you bread, a beverage, soup, a meat or fish plate, dessert and coffee! Cash or Portuguese bank card only. Vítor gives great service and I came back 3 times in the same week. I'll return when I visit Espinho again.
