I'm a food and travel writer and have been coming here for years but I am so happy to see that the team have finally decided to go with Portuguese classical cooking done at the highest level. It suits the room and the service perfectly.

Set in a stunning location full of history, delicious food is served. From the starters, bread, dishes and desserts, everything is divine. 5* service to accompany.

Very embarrassing experience! when we went to the restaurant they didn't let us in because my husband was wearing shorts, we booked in advance and no one informed us about the required dress code. We had to look for another restaurant open at 10pm… (I understand the rules but we were not informed). And the restaurant also uses the name “Four Seasons” but it has absolutely nothing to do with the luxury hotel chains. Which causes the feeling of deceit.

Got kicked out because I wore shorts. Meanwhile there was a girl in a micro skirt who was happily accepted. Interesting policy. When we booked over the phone they never told us there was a dress code in the first place nor is it on the Google Maps listing. I’m happy to respect a dress code if they inform me before but they didn’t.It’s not an official Four Seasons related restaurant btw, the closest Four Seasons hotel is far away so they’re freeriding on the name to get customers. Also the entire place looked weirdly empty and silent. 3/10

Restaurant integrated into the Palácio hotel building, with a refined atmosphere.Space with a privileged architecture, a true timeless pearl, built with very noble materials. Lighting that invites you to a refined meal and good conversation. In practical terms, I can say that I give it 4 stars for what I listed and also for the service that met the expectations of a restaurant of this type. The food left a little to be desired, given what the surroundings promise. Maybe because we included half board, and of course that's why we had a different menu than other customers. The endive salad as a starter was very good, with quality ingredients and delicious goat cheese. The main course was weaker. Some pork cheeks, which were certainly tender, but they had the problem of being cooked and not stewed. The sauce that accompanied them was weak, as it was nothing more than the juice of the meat and a light broth from the vegetables in which the cheeks were cooked. A sauce should have been made based on this broth, but one that was richer, thicker, tastier and incorporated the entire dish. The accompaniment was white rice, which was not the type suitable for a dish that promised. Perhaps a silky purée, or an oven-roasted potato would elevate the dish more. It's a shame these elements were missing, because the meat was really on point. The dessert was delicious. Slightly small.

We are staying at the hotel (Hotel Palacio Estoril) and decided to give the restaurant a try - it was beyond special, with amazing food! We had a bottle of Quina Do Vallado, which was incredible paired with the beef tartar and cod fillets. The beef tartar is made in front of you beside the table - we have traveled and eaten all over the world, and have not seen this experience before! The service was also top notch - Ricardo, the restaurant manager, is great with suggestions and made our dinner very special. We would recommend to others! Thank you

Fabulous food and service in a 1960’s setting. Walking into this restaurant was like walking back in time. White coated, attentive waiters making sure you were never without a full glass and as much bread as you wanted. We were early so enjoyed relative peace and quiet until joined by a very loud party of Scandinavian diners. We opted for the 4 course tasting menu plus amuse bouche and coffee at the end- all for 60€ per head. A real bargain given the quality of food and wines included.Salmon tartare to start, followed by sea bass then a succulent stuffed chicken dish and finally a wonderful chocolate and mint dessert. The meal included house wine both red and white from the Douro region. Both wines were an excellent accompaniment to the dishes. It was an unusual but interesting experience but one where the customer came first!

Again! We liked the set "dinner menu/Estoril". Constant quality, safe bet! Amusebouche (beetroot soup an cheese), the starter was a delicious "tartare de saumon with oyster/huître and Granny apple...", followed by tasty fish (robalo), to continue chicken breast filled with foie gras... mmhh To finish "chocolate surprise with mint icecream".? White and red house wine from the Douro were good. Service was, like always, "old school" and very professional , perfect ? Ambience is "vintage"/classic (carpet, wood, rather dark.... ), we like it ... Guide Michelin star/étoile quality ⭐⭐⭐ for a correct price.

Any 5-star hotel grill room is a place for special occasions; with that in mind, Grill Four Seasons offers a straight-forward service. For this type of restaurant, it was fine, not special, but certainly good enough not to disappoint.

Stunning. Addictive. Just finished my steak with a foie gras sauce, and could eat it again. Superb menu, superb staff, superb restaurant

So they strive to be a classic grill that does not change and they do a good job of that. You feel the wings of time have stand still and I like it. A few things to know. They have a dress code that men ware pants and a shirt. No shorts allowed and I was denied dinner my first visit due to this. The second thing the male in the dinner party will get a menu with prices and you company only the menu without prices. That got my wife a bit upset but we landed in that it was part of the experience. I took the casino royal menu for 80 euro with wines. There was 6 dishes and two different wines one white and one red. The food was excellent and was the best quality you can get and also presented beautifully. The staff is very attentive and adaptable to your requests. Why my review is not 5 stars is the wine. As a foodie with the interest of wine and food. Most restaurants in the world that serve this good food also pair with good quality wines. Here I asked how many glasses of wine it would be to my 6 dishes. In my mind I did not want to drink to much. Their answer was not to think of it. In retrospect I think they thought I was afraid not get enough to drink. So the wine setup is that the first 4 dishes you get the same white wine and they refill all the time so if you want to get drunk it is great but if you want pairing to the food it is a disappointment. Only to the soup it was a good match. Then you get the same red to the entrecôte and dessert. Same thing here they refill as much as they can. If you are a bit into wine you know the same red to both meat and sweet desert won’t ever work. I looked up the wines and they are simple wines at 8 euros a bottle. So WHY does not a good restaurant like this do pairing and with wines that match the food with both quality and tastes? I don’t know and maybe they want a low price point. My suggestion would be to have a wine option that is a bit more expensive but focus on pairing and not quantity. To sum it up go here for the food and buy wine from their wine list to get a good foodie experience
